New Product Review Club: Arm & Hammer™ Clump & Seal™ Cat Litter

My cat is my hero.

Even as I watch her plump self burrowing into my basket of clean laundry for a nap and it's driving me crazy, I remember that time she killed 3 snakes and eradicated the local rodent population in the space of one week.

But the real reason she's a hero to me is how she comforted our young daughter after a major relocation which had triggered weeks of night terrors. Within a few days of joining our family, the night terrors stopped and never returned.

Pets who are good company and earn their keep? Sweet!

Of course, there's still the stinky litter box chore to contend with. For years I assumed cat litter was more or less the same brand to brand: some clump better, some smell better. And since I never found one product which really checked off all the boxes on my Perfect Cat Litter list, I tended to buy whatever was on sale.

Recently I found out about Arm & Hammer™ Clump & Seal™ Complete Odour Sealing Clumping Litter and was instantly intrigued. It promises a 7 day odour-free home, and if it can deliver, this product might just be a kitty litter game changer.

What's different? First, a proprietary blend of moisture-activated Micro-Granules forms an odour-trapping seal around urine and feces to create rock hard clumps (read here: no crumbly clumps mean easier daily scooping). The heavy duty odour eliminators plus Arm & Hammer™ Baking Soda destroy any unpleasant smells on contact to deliver on that 7 day odour-free home promise. It also has a fresh scent which activates every time kitty uses her box.

"But wait, there's more!" The unique formula is designed to provide ultra low dust and low tracking, which means litter stays in the box instead of on your cat’s feet and tracked across your clean floors and couches.  It's not just function: your cat will love the new softer feel, too.

As with all litter products, you still need to remove clumps and solid waste daily to keep the rest of the litter fresh and ensure proper results--no skipping the maintenance! Still, it's the only litter currently on the market which promises a 7 day odour-free home, guaranteed. Arm & Hammer™ Clump & Seal™ Complete Odour Sealing Clumping Litter is available in 'Fresh Home' and 'Multi Cat' varieties.

Now it's your turn! We're offering 200 Canadian cat owners from our Product Review Club the opportunity to try this new product at home for FREE and then report back with their verdict. If you're interested in participating, please take a moment to complete our short application survey no later than June 1, 2014. I always got the arm and hammer stuff, When I seen this new stuff come
out i thought I would try it, even though it was a bit more money.. I
have to say, I like this stuff better. The cats are not bringing litter
that's stuck to their feet on my bed anymore. It also has a fine more
softer feel..

Have cats most of my life. When clumping litter came along, I was over the moon. However, over the years, I found out that not all clumping litter are the same. Some are way too dusty while some does not clump as well, some are overpriced and some are just too perfumey. Now that there's a new one in town to be tested. I say, bring it on!

i have tried this once, a few weeks ago.. although i do find it a bit expensive in comparison to the other options available, i did find it did a good job concealing odour! i have 2 cats and 3 litter boxes and i can sometimes be lazy about getting around to cleaning them.. so the fact that this lasts 7 days is a bonus to me!

I would love to try this out. We currently have 2 cats and I'm not sure what has changed with our regular kitty litter brand, but for the past few weeks it seems to be tracking all over the house. I am finding it everywhere, the floor, the couch and grossest of all, in my bed! We didn't seem to ever have this issue before so I'm thinking the company must have changed the materials that they put in this litter or something. I am definitely on the market for a new litter now.

This would be the PERFECT product for us to review as we own 3 cats (all rescues) and now I am currently feeding and raising (until we find homes for them) 5 little stray kittens for the 2nd time now from the same stray cat...I've had them since they were a week old and they are gonna be ready for the litter box in the next week or so...

Thanks so much for this opportunity!

I have 2 cats but also keep an eye on the many feral cats wandering around the 61 acre farm here. Thank heavens I don't need to use cat litter for them all, however, I just have been buying the generic store brands and quite frankly not very happy with them.
