Yay or Nay: Rooney Mara - Classically Elegant or Boring as Heck?
Let's get one thing straight: Rooney Mara is a badass statuesque alien that is not of this world. Somehow she always manages to perfectly straddle the line between punk rock and simple elegance. However, I think maybe the fresh faced, avant garde look that has become her signature, is starting to wear out its welcome.
I like this outfit. The draping is visually interesting and I love the pantsuit combo instead of an expected skirt. Her makeup and hair are both naturally beautiful and understated. But also, I'm kind of yawning here.
She's done this so many times I'm getting a bit tired of it. How about some colour, Rooney? A bold lip, perhaps? It's spring for goodness sake, how about some florals or pink, yellow or green? I get what you're going for but even your posing is making me fall asleep. It's a bit of a one trick pony.

 | Am I the only one who's still liking this?! I think she looks elegant and composed. I don't care if she rocks this look a lot, I think it's still refreshing considering the obnoxious bright & loud look everyone else goes for. She doesn't need crazy outfits or attention-grabbing colours to get noticed. So I say YAY. |
