Yay or Nay?: Sarah Jessica Parker's Red Carpet Style

Posted by Alexandra C. | Monday September 5, 201157 comments

Known for her over-the-top accessories, sky high heels and bold colours and prints, SJP has confidence to pull it off- but not in everyone's opinion.

Sarah Jessica Parker has her haters and lovers like any other celebrity- particularly when it comes to her style. Her new film I Don't Know How She Does It will be released mid-September and she was recently in Moscow to premiere her film. She wore a Giambattista Valli red dress and... a cape? She seemed to really be into the whole 'Little Red Riding Hood' theme as she paired the dress with lion claw pumps from Christian Louboutin!

What do you think of the caped crusader combo? Sure it is a little strange, but she seems to be working it - you think? Is it a Yay or Nay? You tell us by leaving a comment by September 12th for a chance to win a prize!

This is a Big NAY for me the dress is simply stunning and caresses her figure very nicely. But the cape just throws the whole outfit off making it unflattering and very distracting from the dress. The color is also to distracting and very overwhelming on her skin-tone.

this just made my day, haha. I think the outfit and the shoes are actually kinda cute, but she should save that outfit for Halloween :)

She could have done this in a more fashionable and tasteful way instead of the theatrics. If she lost the cape and perhaps had the dress a little shorter or fitting her body better it would have worked. Unfortunately this way to me just screams too much.

Nay - I love red, but the red overwhelms the dress and cape - it is too much. Something more neutral would have maybe worked better.

Yay if she is trying to snag a role in a modern spin of "little red riding hood" but since Amanda Seyfried just did "Red Riding Hood" then I'm guessing she's not aiming for the role and so it's a nay for me! I think simple is beautiful and this is too much.

Nay on the dress, it's too red riding hood. The shoes also kind of freak me out, they are cool looking but freaky.
