I'm still not sure how I feel about this product. It's a cc cream but It markets itself as an illuminating foundation. I do see and like the illuminating part. It brightens and is great to give skin a little lift. It isn't very pigmented though so I would not consider this a foundation. It contains an active anti aging ingredient as well, making it similar to a cc cream. It's quite moisturizing as well. I use this as a light base for a sheer foundation. I prefer many thin layers of sheer foundation as opposed to one thick one. I find its a more natural finish. Overall, it's a decent product and I like the light reflecting pigments but I'm not sure it is any different than any other cc or bb cream out there on the market. -

At $20, this is on the pricier end of the drugstore powders but quality wise, I'm finding it to be on par with some of my favourite, more high end brands. It gives a great, long lasting matte finish that isn't too powdery or cakey. It's soft and velvety though, there is some fallout and flaking off with your brush. When applied, it tends to go on a little darker than the shade of the product in the package so use sparingly, a little goes a long way. I noticed that after a month and a half or so of using that it really started thinning out. It doesn't last very long but as an all over powder to subtly set your makeup and give a matte finish, this is a winner! -

I usually drink milk, occasionally I will use almond milk in a smoothie but for the most part, I am a 2% kinda gal. So, almond milk or a milk alternative isn't really a priority product for me. That being said, the vanilla flavour Amore Almond Dairy is sooooo tasty, I might consider switching. Health-wise, this milk contains a lot of protein but I don't know if I would make a switch for health reasons, it doesn't seem that much better to me that milk however, I would totally buy this just for taste! Also makes a great addition to any baking recipes. -

This is an interesting mascara that I originally wasn't into but after a few tries, I am really loving it. The brush is cool, it's twisted and has brushes on one side and small wire brushes on the other side. It gives great volume and length is decent as well. It goes from the roots up and almost looks like you are wearing eyeliner. At first, it looks a bit clumpy but once you get the hang of it, this is a great mascara. -

I was super curious about this product since I love a matte lip and it's a lot harder to find in drugstores. I am a fan of Revlon's matte lipsticks and their colourburst balm stains and this seemed like a combination of both of these. The lipstick is basically a giant crayon and has the consistency of a lighter lipstick, almost balmy but since it is a matte, it isn't as soft or glossy as a balm is. I wouldn't consider this a matte but it isn't as drying as other mattes. That being said, the pigmentation is decent but not the best. I have other mattes that completely cover and are truer to the shade. For an inexpensive, matte lip product, this is something I would recommend. It won't be my favourite or even an essential go to but it's great for touch ups throughout the day on my heavier, matte lip that tends to peel off when I put too much on. For the price, this is an excellent option! -

I had been using a brow pencil to fill in my brows for a while but I was frustrated with the lack of precision it gave me. It was never the right shade and was either too light or too dark and wasn't natural or subtle enough for me.
I decided to splurge and switch to the Anatasia Brow Genius Kit. At $31, it isn't crazy expensive but compared with a brow pencil at $10 it is a major price bump. I've been using it for about 2-3 weeks now and I'm thrilled with the results. I think this may be my new go to. It's kind of a process to use. It's a kit so you need to mix the powder with the gel with makes a waterproof, coloured paste. You then use an angled brush to draw and fill in your brows. The angle brush also comes with a brow brush (mascara brush style). The effect is super natural though. I have the kit in the dark brunette shade so its impactful but still subtle. Its easy to use as well and the brush makes it really efficient. It has great staying power as well and excellent pigment.
I would totally buy this again.

I was invited to taste test some of their cocktails and app samplers and I have to say, it lives up to the buzz. It's a pretty space, not too formal, homey feeling and casual. It's a really great space that almost feels like a big living room.
The food is good, it isn't anything too adventurous but it's tasty and really well made. Great ingredients and lots of flavour. I didn't get to try it, but I hear the beet chocolate cake is super delish. One of the best features of the restaurant is their bar. They make amazing cocktails that are really fabulous and old school retro tasting.

This is a pricier bronzer but I think it may actually be worth it. It's the perfect shade and I love that it is matte. Finding a great matte bronzer is surprisingly difficult but for contouring, this is an excellent product. It goes on smoothly and is true to the colour in the compact. It's easily blended too. It's not chalky or too powdery. It also smells kind of awesome, an added bonus! -

This is one of my all time favourite blushes and actually one of the one products I am loyal too. It's made with clay which makes it an excellent product for us with oily skin. This also makes it super long lasting, the 12 hr in the title is pretty true. Its quite pigmented which means it is easy to overdo it on this. Definitely use a light hand. It's $31 which is a lot compared to drugstore blushes but considering how long this will last you it is worth it. The selection of colours is pretty great too though I would like more matte colours. -

I find facial oils excellent for moisturizing but also for absorption so I have been using this in conjunction with a heavy cream. I like this a lot, I find it quite hydrating. Though, I think for my skin I need something quite heavy over top. Don't be sacred of the fact that it is oil. It doesn't make your skin overly oily or cause breakouts. In fact, I suggest this for combination skin. The one downside to this is that it is quite expensive. It lasts a while because you only need a small drop but $50 is quite a lot. -
