This was a freebie, and it took a bit of research to figure out what this mask did! This is a whitening mask by Japanese brand Kose Cosmeport, with vitamin C as the active ingredient. There are a few different whitening masks from this brand using different active ingredients, but this one is apparently targeted at freckles and other 'spots' that show up on your face. It mask applied fine, and the serum wasn't too thick or too runny, and I suppose it did 'lighten' or brighten my skin a bit. However, my acne scars/post acne marks did not seem to be any fainter, so I was a little disappointed at that. All in all, not bad, but there are probably vitamin c masks out there that work better (and are cruelty-free). -

Among my surplus of freebie face masks was this beast. This brightening mask comes with a gel ampoule with niacinamide and witch hazel for brightening that you apply first, and an essence containing adenosine to combat fine lines and wrinkles after the fact. The sheet mask itself contains vitamin B3, hyaluronia acid, lemon and rose extract to nourish, moisturize, and to help with the brightening. The ampoule was fine and didn't feel like too much on the skin. I do have to say, there is a LOT of product in the sheet mask, and the consistency is a little goopy/slimy; it was a bit of a turn off for me texture-wise, but that's beside the point. Finally, the essence was sort of a jelly consistency, and it took a bit to absorb into my skin because the essence from the mask still sat on my skin for a while after removing the mask. Overall, I guess my skin looked a little brighter, but as far as sheet masks go, this was probably my least favourite in terms of consistency, but I can't say it was ineffective. Not cruelty-free, either, though. -

I bought this not really knowing what to expect. Given the very tiny/skinny wand, I figured this would either be amazing, or a bust. Well, I came away pleasantly satisfied with the results. While I probably wouldn't use these on upper lashes unless they happen to be very thin and sparse, this applicator and formula is PERFECT for my pitiful lower lashes that most of the time look nonexistant. Not only did it manage to coat all of them without smudging, but it lengthened them to the best they could be! So happy to have found a cruelty-free solution for my lower lashes. Would 100% recommend for bottom lashes, or thin/sparse upper lashes! -

Since I've been trying out different cruelty-free drugstore mascaras to find one that suits me best, this was yet another impulse buy in my quest. But the effort seems to have finally paid off. The wand and bristles are very firm, and I can say that this is the first mascara I have every tried that is 100% clump free, even on my lackluster lashes that nothing applies well to. The length was definitely there, as well as volume, and my lashes actually held a bit of the curl after applying this formula! The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars for effectiveness is the fact that you need at least 3 good coats to build up the volume, but once you do, your lashes will definitely stay in place! Very happy I tried this, and would 100% recommend! -

Though this was a freebie, I must say, I was rather taken by the name and composition of this mask. Green tea for antioxidants and milk for moisture and nourishment... It just sounds like a treat for your skin. The formula is very thick and creamy, so it doesn't drip down your neck, but also doesn't dry up on your skin while wearing the mask. After wearing this for about 20 minutes, my face felt very soft, and some of the redness caused by the summer heat and sun had faded. Very nice for a quick skin treat on a hot summer's evening, but sadly not cruelty-free. -

Since my skin has been looking a little sad with blemishes lately, I pulled this mask out of the pile of free samples I have lying around. The ingredients seemed quality and effective, with tea-tree oil, AHA, witch hazel, and hyaluronic acid just to name a few; cleansing without being too stripping. Honestly, after having this on my face for about 20 mins, I can't make any claims to whether or not it treated my existing acne, but my face did feel very clean and refreshed without that tight dryness that comes with just using astringents. It was gentle and refreshing, but I could tell it was doing something to treat any blemishes that might have been forming. A shame this company isn't cruelty-free, because this sheet mask is right up my alley! -

Among the MANY other face-mask samples I got when visiting a local boutique in another province, I found this gem. Since all of the masks were free, and I didn't pay for any of them, I do intend to at the very least give them a try. But then, on glancing at the back of THIS beauty, I realized to my surprised that Symphony Beauty is Leaping Bunny Certified! :) Which made me MUCH happier to use it! I've always had luck with vitamin c products, and this was no exception. It brightened my skin just as it claimed it would, and felt very refreshing after being in the sun all day. If I can find this product locally, I most certainly WILL be repurchasing it again and again! -

This mask was among the pile of freebies I received recently. I have known for a while that green tea is supposed to have fantastic properties for your skin, so I will admit, I had rather high expectations. The mask applied beautifully to my face and tucked in well in all the right places; very moisturizing, and I did feel refreshed after using it. However, I had hoped that the inflammation around my acne caused by being in the sun today would have lessened to a greater degree than it did. All in all, not bad for the price, but even if it were a cruelty-free brand, I am not sure I would go and make this purchase in hopes of finding a green tea sheet mask that happened to work better. -

This sheet mask was among the many others I received as free samples from a boutique I recently visited. I have heard a lot about niacinamide as a quality ingredient for skin, and where this ingredient was listed as one of the first 3, I was excited to give it a try. This has to be one of the best-fitting sheet masks I have used thus far, as it covered my face just perfectly, without too much excess or not enough surface area, and the formula is milky, which means it won't be dripping down your neck. On applying, I also noticed that both the fiber mask and the serum were SO soft and silky, and not simply watery, like other sheet masks I have used. My face did look very bright after 20 minutes, and it felt incredibly hydrated. I'm sad this isn't a cruelty-free brand, because it was so very effective! -

I have been eyeing this for a while, and while I love many other Andalou Naturals products, I decided to finally give this mask a try. I used it in my pore-unclogging routine in lieu of my usual charcoal mask, and I was very surprised to find how cooling it was on my face. It didn't aggravate my acne, or make my skin feel too dry, despite that it was sucking gunk out of my pores! By far one of the gentlest clarifying clay masks I have ever used. I left it on for about 20 mins, and I do have to note that it took a while of gentle massaging with my konjac sponge to fully remove the product, but that just makes me feel that it did a good job cleaning my pores. Wouldn't be opposed to using this again! -
