I love this time of year. Sure it's snowy and cold and yes, the days are short and okay, my new years resolutions were more like failures. BUT and here's the very best thing, spring 2013 beauty collections are out!

(pause for a squeal of excitement)

Yes, the spring collections from some of the best luxury beauty brands are on the shelves or will be hitting the shelves very soon and let me tell you, they are gorge. With all that drool-worthiness out there, you need to know which collections to spend your hard earned cash on. So, we picked 5 collections that we're calling our favourites for the season. Wondering what they are?

Dior Cherie Bow Spring 2013 Collection

Pink, pink and more pink. This is an ultra feminine collection from Dior but we like that it combines a bit of edgy silver and black to the collection so it's nicely rounded out. Very wearable and practical pieces.

Chanel Printemps Precieux Spring 2013 Collection

Again, another wearable and practical collection with pinks and neutral eye colours, a good combination for
everyday spring beauty. We're especially into the wide range of lip colours.

Nars Spring 2013 Color Collection

This is one of the most interesting collections this season, the colours are very intense and pigmented. This collection isn't for the wallflower. We think the colours would look especially fabulous on darker skin tones.

Giorgio Armani Spring 2013 The Pop Collection

There are three new shades of foundation and two new shades of the Blushing Fabric, but we're especially eyeing those face and eye palettes. Two soft shades and a pop of colour (hence, the name) make this product good for day or night.

Yves Saint Laurent Arty Stone Spring 2013 Collection

This collection is all about the jewel tones and really uses the Pantone colour of the year, emerald. Along with violets and fuchsias, this would make an excellent going out look.

Which one of these collections would you love to own?

I absolutely love the Dior and Chanel trends!! Man I've been loving oranges and pinks for eyeshadows lately! And what's up with those pink "my lips but better" lip colours? Gorgeous!!

What I like about the Chanel collection is that the neutral colours in the eye palette could be used to create a really defined and sculpted eye. Plus those neutrals paired with a pretty pink, feminine lip make for a really fresh face.

Is it just me or does the make up on the Dior campaign look dated? ... almost (don't kill me) have a boy george feel to it. I am in love with the Chanel spring line... they always nail it. Im also excited that GA is coming out with new blushing fabric colours! The formula is just amazing!
