The shoes coming out of NYFW have been absolutely TDF (i.e. To Die For)! Personal faves include Tommy Hilfiger's chunky platforms and the Prabal Gurung mesh shoes- I could seriously just die and go to shoe heaven. We've rounded up the quirkiest, coolest or most gorgeous shoes from some of the buzzed about collections so far, check 'em out and for more New York Fashion Week coverage, try our Colour and Print Report for Spring 2012.

(from left) Derek Lam has netting, criss crossed details on his snakeskin shoes- definitely visually interesting and unique. Prabal Gurung shows strappy, lace up mesh heels with a platform sole. BCBG Max Azria channels this past summer's tribal vibe with a natural, wood look.

(from left) Tommy Hilfiger matches the shoes to the pants in a teal camo with a wooden heel. The chunky heeled platform will be one to watch for Spring! Strappy and sexy- the stiletto makes a comeback at Band of Outsiders. White accessories and pointy toes at Alexander Wang may an outfit that much chicer!

(from left) DKNY does a great shade of royal blue in a wedge. Straps and buckles make an appearance again! Thakoon does an avant garde shoe in teal ostrich with a metallic tip! Victoria Beckham showed spats at her show- check out how the leather wraps around those heels.

When I do it feels like the bones in the ball of my foot are poking through, way to painful for me. I have to stick to the kind that have some height in the ball of the shoes as well as to the heel, so I'm walking on a more even level, if that makes any sense.
