Tastes better than anything I could have seasoned

I just got the sample pack from @The Better Butchers and decided to make some basic nachos from their Chorizo mushroom meat. Sometimes I crave meat but I also try and avoid eating too much red meat, this was the perfect alternative offering 15g of protein per serving and nothing artificial. It cooks just like ground meat and the chorizo flavor was better than anything I could have seasoned on my own.

Perfect meaty taste

Loved the clean ingredient list of the Better Butchers plant-based meat. It tastes very meaty and goes perfectly as a meat substitute in pasta or tacos. Enjoyed it very much.

Products arrived warm

As much as I like the idea of vegan meat made with mushrooms, I hesitate to consume these products due to a major shipping issue. The products were packed with an ice pack in a carton box without any thermos lining. When the package arrived, the ice pack has melted and the samples were slightly warm to touch, not even a bit of cool. I'm not sure they are safe to consume. If these products are not shelf stable, they should only be sold in store.

Great meat alternative

I used the natural one as a topping for pizzas and I genuinely didn’t miss the meat! I’ve been loving this as a meat alternative, the combo of oyster mushrooms and pea protein gives it great texture and flavour without any artificial ingredients. It’s super versatile, easy to use, and actually tastes GOOD!

Crumbles and has texture like meat, but its mushro

Trying these ground mushroom and pea protein flavours for the first time!
I made the Chorizo into a veggie fried rice and used the Natural for a rice noodle stir-fry.
While they were both great, I think my favourite was the Chorizo - it’s spiciness and taste was great. However, both flavours did come out a bit bitter, maybe that was user error? Other than that, it added much needed protein into my and my family's meal that week.

Authentic flavour

I tried the Italian mushroom led plant-based for my taco recipe and it was a huge hit with my family. I love that it is Canadian and made with moist mushrooms and pea protein. It was easy to crumble and cook for super fast meal ideas. Absolutely loved it!

A new staple in my kitchen

I’ve tried a few meat replacements before, and this one is by far my favourite. When looking for meat replacements I’m looking for something with whole ingredients that I can read and understand, and Better Butchers ensures every bite is full of not only incredible flavour and depth but also good ingredients. I love how much protein they have per serving and I feel good after eating it, no bloating like with standard meat products. Would definitely recommend to friends and family who are looking for a solid healthy and fulfilling protein option!

Great taste and even better nutrition

I loved how delicious and how close to real meat did this vegan meat taste.. I am a vegetarian and constantly chasing my protein goal and to have something so delicious and easy to cook be available so readily is a blessing..
I usually make my pastas without meat alternatives because they usually ruin the taste.. but the Italian ground by better butchers goes so well with the pasta recipe.. it feels like it belongs!

Amazing alternative

I am always down to try new meat alternatives and this one has been one of the closest one to the regular. I love the texture, and the taste, plus the fact that I have different seasoning options to choose from like the natural one, chorizo and Italian. Really enjoyed them!
