Hot Summer Nail Polish Colors

| Tuesday July 13, 2010 1 comment
Change your summer look from fun and playful to casual cool in a drop of a hat with this season’s hottest nail hues. This year has been the most eccentric when it comes to nail colours with metallics, glittery based polishes, and varying shades of purples.

Essie 'Turquoise Caicos', OPI 'Flit A Bit' and 'Catch Me in Your Net', Joe Fresh 'Kiss'

Add a splash of colour with brilliant pinks and oranges, and vibrant shades like neon yellows and greens. If sassy is the route you want, try a shade from OPI’s new Summer Flutter collection like Catch Me In Your Net, a pretty bright blue or Flit A Bit, a gorgeous orange.

Zoya 'Tangy', Revlon 'Midnight Affair', Joe Fresh 'Peacock', NARS 'Tokaido Express'

Dare to be bold with edgy purples, chic blues and funky greens, with and without sparkles.

China Glaze 'Inner Beauty' Trio, Joe Fresh 'Mint', 'Powder Blue' and 'Butter'

Warm pastels are perfect for those wanting something more neutral. Try China Glaze’s Blush Inner Beauty Trio collection with colours like White on White, Inner Beauty and First Kiss. Joe Fresh also has a line of pastels including shades like Mint, Powder Blue and Petal, a soft pink. For an added level of class, finish with a coat of clear glitter.

Essie 'Lapis of Luxury', OPI 'Lincoln Park After Dark', NARS 'Pussy Galore', OPI 'I'm Not Really a Waitress', Essie 'Splash of Grenadine'

Classic shades like cherry reds and light pinks never go out of style. When you don’t know which polish to choose, you’ll never go wrong with a beautiful shiny red like OPI’s I’m Not Really A Waitress. The dark richness of Lincoln Park After Dark is also a sophisticated choice.

Are you adventurous with your Nail Colour?

Right now I'm all about yellow nail polish. I'm pale but with just the right shade like a nice canary yellow it's really refreshing. I tried one from China Glaze at a nail salon and regret not writing down the name of it.
