We Love Fridays: Miu Miu Glitter Pumps

Posted by Alexandra C. | Friday September 23, 201110 comments

I'm a firm believer in glitter and all things sparkle related. A good glittery item can make your day, week or even year that much better! It is pretty impossible to feel sad if you're wearing these heels.

These glitter pumps not only have awesome sparkle qualities but the shape is unique to Miu Miu. Check out the curve on that heel! I love the chunky platform look and with stilettos creeping their way in for spring, wear these while you can! Be careful not to over do it though. These pumps will stand out on their own so pair down with solid colours.

These Miu Miu glitter pumps just scream "Take me home!" However, at USD$630.00, I scream back, "I'm sorry, I wish I could!" and then I cry myself to sleep.

I think the heel curve is interesting, but I can't be sure. But goooold glitter!

LOOOOOOOL! "And then I cry myself to sleep." So funny.

These shoes are AMAZING! @Mandy - thanks for posting the DIY video. I'll definitely keep that in mind. Such an awesome idea when you're a (regular) person who is not able to spend $650 on shoes....

@Mandy - that tutorial is amazing! I recently got rid of some shoes because they were too scuffed but now I realize I could have totally reclaimed them by trying something like this. Darn! Next time...

love the glitter! but i'm more of a skinny heel girl versus the thicker ones. I always see glittered shoes but I feel like they would get ruined going out in or I'd be covered in sparkles by the end of the night.

@Becky good idea!!! I would love to DIY a pair of heels- maybe if you used glitter paint? Or maybe a really strong glue? Mmmm it would be a bit challenging but if you could replicate these, it would be amazing.

That's a great idea Becky for those of us that like this look and don't
have that kind of money. You smart girl!!
If you wanted to be Dorthy for
Halloween you could try red glitter and make your own ruby slippers.
For some reason that just popped into my head, don't mind me.LOL

@Becky - what a crazy good idea! I know of many women who've repurposed old or thrift store shoes by working with spray paint (to varying degrees of success!), but never thought about glitter. You'd have to be really careful with selecting the right glue. Probably have to be something industrial strength. Home Depot Goodwill: love it!

LOLololol ..!!

How about a DYI? Take a not so favourite heel and turn it into a glitter pump? I once had a cellphone that was the ugliest wall-beige and I painted it into a glossy pink (nailpolish) awesomeness :-)
