10 Holiday Cocktails To Try

Posted by Alexandra C. | Friday December 20, 20134 comments

The holidays are a time for celebrating family, friends and loved ones. And what's the best way to pay homage to everyone that you hold dear? With a drink, of course! 'Tis the season to raise a glass, perhaps jam out to some tunes and meet a special someone under the mistletoe (wearing the perfect lip of course)!

Here are 10 seasonal cocktails to whip up over your holidays:

1. Citrus Sangria: Sangria is traditionally a summer drink, but with seasonal citrus fruits and spice, it can easily work as a fall and winter beverage.

2. Christmas Cookie Cocktail: Liquid cookie juiced with some liquor? Sounds good to me. (image via buzzfeed.com)

3. Coquito: This is the Puerto Rican version of eggnog made with coconut cream. (image via alwaysorderdessert.com

4. Hot Buttered Rye: Ginger liqueur and maple syrup make for a warm and toasty cocktail!

5. Mint Chocolate Martini: For those who prefer their desserts in liquid form.

6. Eggnog: This recipe is for a classic eggnog with a whipped topping. If you're looking to branch out with your nog, try a latte or martini.

7. Peppermint White Russian: It's milk for adults.

8. Pomegranate Punch: Great for your holiday parties!

9. Mulled Wine: Simple to make and makes a larger serving size for parties, this is a classic!

10. Mexican Hot Spiced Chocolate: Lastly, a non alcoholic drink for those driving this holiday season. This hot chocolate has a real nice kick to it.

What will you be sipping this season?

Is there a way on this website to send a message to another user, or to request a blog entry? I would LOVE to make a request to see some holiday nail art ideas, but am having a semi-hard time navigating the website thusly. .. Perhaps Alexandra C if you see this post you could make one? thanks :)

These are all drool-worthy drinks. I would love to try the Christmas cookie cocktail and the mint chocolate Martini.
