Every time a new season comes around, I say that it's my favourite time of the year for beauty collections. I've said it for the holiday collections and more recently, for the spring ones. You may not believe me, but I really meant it every time! Gals, this time I'm totally and utterly serious and 100% committed when I say, summer is my absolute favourite time for beauty collections. 

Summer collections are better for so many reasons: Colour returns and everything is light, bright and pretty! Summer foundations tend to be lighter and focus on a dewy, fresh complexion. Even though I love dark, vampy shades, I have to say the pinks, magentas and fuchsias of summer are way more fun. Summer beauty is playful, cute and I love that my addiction to bronzer is totally justified.

The combination of sunkissed skin and bright coral, orange and fuchsia lips is divine.

I love makeup that promises to outlast a trip to the beach. I'm definitely head over heels with this waterproof heavy collection from Tarte. You'll know from previous articles that I love Tarte's long lasting blushes and their amazonian clay powders, so this is right up my alley. 
 
#6 Nars Summer 2013 Collection

Ready to disco? Nars' summer 2013 collection is big on bold colours and has a heavy 70's, David Bowie-esque influence. I love that the colours are all very complementary, not matchy-matchy. Purple shadow and orange nails? Why not!
