Hot Trend: Animal Prints

| Wednesday September 22, 20104 comments
Animal Print is back, but you don’t need to be Rihanna-fierce to rock it this season; it’s all about wearing it “right.”  Avoid going ‘Peggy Bundy’ by sticking to the basics - investing in a cute pair of leopard pumps or clutch allows you to show you’re ready to make daring moves for fashion, while still playing it safe.  Go ahead and splurge on this one, because Animal Print always comes back eventually!

Splurge on Jimmy Choo Leopard Print Calf Hair d'Orsay Pump ($740), Prada Leopard Print Haircalf Ballet Flats ($695), or Christian Louboutin Kathena Leopard-Print Clutch ($1,795)

MZ Wallace Elsa bag ($345), Karen Millen Weekend Luxe Leopard Print Pony Shoe ($227)

Snag a Steal like Ralph Lauren's Leopard Haircalf Peep-Toe Heel ($98) or Steve Madden Kobbe Leopard-Print Flats ($60)

Are you excited Animal Prints are back?

That's a good point, flowerfaerie. Too much of this does not look tasteful. It's much harder to pull off as a dress or a top than as an accent piece.

The problem with animal print is, unless you wear it right (in a classy stylish manner), it can very quickly look cheap. There will definitely be too many people wearing it the wrong way, which leaves me thinking it's not worth investing in because it will be in and out before we can count to ten.
