I have a soft spot for trendy sneakers, so when I hear about trendy AND French sneakers, my ears really perk up! After all, the French know style, as did Princess Diana, Jane Birkin, and Brigitte Bardot - all of whom adopted Bensimon sneakers as a style staple.

Bensimon sneakers were launched in the 1970s as a "disposable shoe for French women". Head to France and you will see that these are a weekend favourite with local hipsters. We got a sneak peek at the Fall 2010 collection and it includes a fun update on the original designs with floral and plaid prints.
