Tip Tuesday: 6 New Uses For Deodorant

Deodorant is a great invention, isn't it? Not only does it keep you smelling like a bed of flowers but it also helps you keep your cool in any sort of stressful situation.

I don't think I'm the only one who feels this way about deodorant. I mean, just look at these folks from this vintage deodorant commercial:

So clearly, deodorant is a big deal and it deserves to be. But there's more to your stick of Baby Powder Lady Speed Stick than odor and sweat protection. Here's the proof:

#1: Prevent Blisters

Even properly broken-in shoes can raise a blister from time to time. Try swiping some deodorant on clean, dry feet in areas where your shoes rub to provide lubrication. Use clear deodorant for sandals or open toe shoes.

#2 Soothe Bug Bites
Use a dab of deodorant to ease the itch.

#3 Stop Stinky Feet

Try some on the bottom of smelly feet to help reduce odour.

#4 Freshen Up Closet
Spring cleaning your wardrobe? Keep it smelling fresh and flowery by leaving an opened stick of your favourite deodorant in the closet.

#5 Squeeze Into Skinnies
Sometimes we literally need to be shoehorned into those super skinny jeans, but dayum do they ever look good on. For an easier entry, swipe deodorant on your legs.

#6 Dehydrate Pimples

For occasional use, those especially nasty zits which need some drying out are helped along with a little dab of deodorant.

Have you heard of any of these tips? Which would you try?

I've only known about deodorant on the feet. I've done this in the past during the summer to help with sweating and odor. I found it did actually help.

I have totally used it on my feet in the hot hot summer months. Nothing worse than taking off your shoes at the end of the day and having your feet smell sweaty and gross! It totally works!

I've heard of deodorant in shoes to prevent blisters and deodorant between your legs during summer time when you wear a skirt so you don't get "sticky thighs" but I don't know about under your feet...I think i'd rather use powder

Nope I've never heard of any of these before, but I sure like them. I'm a good one for getting blisters, so I'm going to give this one a try today!

I've never heard of any of these tips (with the exception of the smelly feet) - but they sound awesome! I had no idea that you could use deodorant to help prevent blisters. Such a clever idea, and one that I'll be sure to pass on to a lot of other people. Thanks so much for posting these!
