On the Clean & Clear web site they tell us that the Clean & Clear Deep Cleaning Astringent in oil free is formulated to clean deep down to the pores to remove dirt, oil, and makeup that can be left behind after washing all while helping to fight oil build up and acne. I’ve used Clean & Clear’s Deep Cleaning Astringent oil-free on and off over the years because I have had a problem with acne for years and I hoped this would help. I’ve found that it does get all the dirt that’s still left on your skin after washing that you can’t see. You can tell if you have completely cleaned your face after using it because the dirt can easily be seen on the cotton ball after you’ve used it. You may have to do this over and over again until the cotton ball shows no dirt left, but it sure does get deep down into your pores. One thing I don’t care for about it is the burning feeling I get after using it. If I move just a slight bit that little bit of air flow makes my skin burn. This is why I’ve stopped using it and than gone back to it several times over the years. I do like how much dirt it removes from my skin, but I really hate that burning feeling that tends to last until it has dried. I’ve also notice that my face feels as if there’s some kind of a film left after the Astringent has dried and I’m not thrilled with this feeling either. So after years of going back and forth using Clean & Clear Deep Cleansing Astringent in oil-free I’m done with it. I believe this product is much better suited for younger skin and would recommend it for teens, but not for older woman like myself. -

I’m looking forward to buy more and try out some of their other bar soaps. -

Olay’s Age Defying Anti-Wrinkle Eye Cream is available in a 15ml jar and it sells for $19.99 at well.ca, but you can also find it wherever other Olay products are sold, for varying prices. The Olay Age Defying Anti-Wrinkle Eye Cream was made to treat fine lines and wrinkles around your eyes. When I first took it out of the box I was surprised at how small the jar was compared to the size of the box. This is something I wish all companies would put more thought into when coming up with their packaging, but that’s another story. This eye cream is very thick and you only need to use a small amount so it has lasted me a very long time. I’ve been using it for four months now and I still have way over half of the jar left. It doesn’t have a scent to it witch is a plus for me because I hate placing scented products near my eye’s. The best thing I've found about it since I started using this anti-wrinkle cream is that it works for me! I’m in my late forties now and was beginning to see those fine lines show up, but since I started using the Olay Age Defying Anti-Wrinkle Cream those fine line seem to have disappeared. I was at a wedding in Sept. and I ran into several people that I haven’t seen in twenty years. Everyone of them told me that I hadn’t changed a bit, that I still look like I did years ago. That sure made me feel good about myself and made me even more pleased with this Olay age Defying Anti-Wrinkle Eye Cream! If you’re looking for a good eye cream that isn’t to pricy than I’d definitely recommend you give the Olay Age Defying Anti-Wrinkle Eye Cream a try, its working for me! -

I bought my Olay Age Defying 2-in-1 Anti-Wrinkle Day Cream Serum at Walmart a few months ago and I love every bit of it. It comes in a 50ml pump container and it for sells for $17.87 Canadian. It is a combination of an anti-wrinkle cream and a firming serum that hydrates to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, as well as firm the look of your skin all in one simple product. It feels as smooth as silk when you apply it and a little goes a very long way. I have combo skin and I wasn’t to sure how my skin might react to this Olay product, but it hasn’t caused my skin to become overly oily like some moisturizers can do. It blends into your skin very quickly so you don’t have to wait to start applying your makeup. On the Olay web site it says that it can plump your skin and since I have been using it I can defiantly see a big difference in my skin over all look. It looks and feels more like it did when I was in my twenties, minus the acne and I’m in my late forties now! I’m very pleased with the Olay Age Defying 2-in-1 Anti-Wrinkle Day Cream Serum and would definitely recommend it to any woman on matter what her age was. -

I received a nice size sample of the Olay Regenerist Micro Sculpting Cream to try for free. You can buy a 50ml jar for $38.99 at well.ca and have it shipped to you for free. It’s also available where ever Olay products are sold, for varying prices. The Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream is supposed to firm sagging-pore areas, even out you jaw line, smooth your skin surface, and restore the elasticity of your skin. I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that they mean this can happen over time because only using the product for one week did nothing like that for me. It was how ever like applying silk to your face. It felt wonderful to apply it and my combo skin never became greasy after having it on. It has a nice light scent to it, but if you don’t care for scented skin care products it is available in unscented. Although I didn’t see much of an improvement in my skin over a week’s time, I did enjoy using it and feel like if I had more it would have made a difference in my results. I would recommend it if you don’t mind spending this much money on a face cream, but if this is out of your price range than I’d tell you to try and get a sample first, or find another product that is more suited for your budget. -

I’ve bin using the new Olay Fresh Effects Bead Me Up Exfoliating Cleanser for a few months now and I just love it. I have combo skin and this cleanser is oil free so it’s great for my skin type. You can feel the little cleansing beads exfoliating your skin as you wash and when you’re done it leaves your skin feeling soft and refreshed not dried out and tight. I was experiencing brake outs every month, but since I started using this cleanser I haven’t seen even the slightest sign of a brake out. Well.ca sells a 192 ml tube of the Olay Fresh Effects Bead Me Up Exfoliating cleanser for $9.49 and will ship it to you for free, but it’s also available where ever other Olay products are sold, for varying prices. I’m in my late forties now and it’s hard to find a product that can give me the right balance and still help with brake outs. The Olay Fresh Effects Bead Me Up Exfoliating Cleanser has been able to give me every thing I want in a cleanser and I’d defiantly recommend it to anyone no matter your age. -

Although it says it’s a foaming cleanser I didn’t find that it foamed up very much, even when I used it with my Olay cleanser brush. I received a nice size sample of Vidal Sassoon Repair conditioner for free in the spring P&G;brand sample box that I had ordered. It showed up at the right time because my hair was such a mess at the time that I was honestly considering shaving my head and starting over. At that time my hair was very long, it’s fine and straight as a pin. It actually was down to my butt when I first tried this conditioner and had bin three feet long at one point. Unfortunately over time and using the wrong products on my hair it was full of slipt ends and had a lot of breakage though out. I’ve since cut about half the lernght off of my hair, but that wasn’t because this product didn’t help me out, I just wanted a change. After only using the new Vidal Sassoon Repair Conditioner and the shampoo that goes along with it, my hair responded beautifully. This conditioner was designed to help repair damaged hair by restoring smoothness while strengthening your hair against further damage that leads to breakage and slipt ends. This moisturizing conditioner was created by the Vidal Sassoon experts to help control breakage from combing and styling giving you stronger healthy looking hair. Even though I had very long hair a silver dollar amount was enough to condition all of my hair. It has a pleasant scent and it rinses out unbelievable fast and leaves your hair feeling soft and easy to comb through. After only using the new Vidal Sassoon Repair shampoo and the Repair conditioner together three times my hair was on its way to being the healthy looking and feeling like the hair it once was. After I took about half the length off my hair I found that I need very little conditioner to do the job and if I do add to much it take’s more time to rinse out, but it doesn’t make my hair turn greasy. I’ve been using the Vidal Sassoon Repair Conditioner along with their Repair shampoo since May and I’ve been very pleasantly surprised with how well it has repaired my hair. I would definitely recommend it to anyone that has damaged hair. It truly has work for me! -

I received a nice size sample of Vidal Sassoon Repair Shampoo in the spring P&G;brand sample box that I ordered. I was so happy when I found it in the box because I had wanted to try it, but I really wanted to try a sample before I spent the money on it and found out I didn’t care for it. My hair was also in very bad shape at the time and was in need of a lot of repair. So it turned out to be the prefect time to give it a try. They tell us that the new Vidal Sassoon Repair shampoo not only cleans your hair, but it also helps to repair damaged hair by restoring hair’s smoothness and strengthening it against further damage that leads to breakage and split ends. Everything my hair was going through at the time. Vidal Sassoon’s expert’s designed this rich conditioning formula to help control breakage from combing and styling for strong healthy looking hair. I had very long straight hair down to my butt when I first tried this shampoo, but I’ve since cut about half off. It use to take a good amount of other shampoo’s to clean all of my long hair, but that wasn’t the case with this shampoo. A sliver dollar size amount was more then enough to lather up and clean all of my long hair from top to bottom. Now that its bin cut I don’t even need that much. The big bottle I bought right after I used the sample I received still has over half in it and I bought it back in May! It has a pleasant scent, lathers up very well, is able to thoroughly cleaned my oily hair, but best of all it rinses out very easily and does repair your hair just like they say it can. I use to stand in the shower rinsing and rinsing my long hair, waiting for all the shampoo to be removed. Witch wastes water as well as my time, so when it rinsed out so easily it was a very pleasant surprise. When it came time to comb out my long hair I wasn’t to sure how easy the job was going to be. If I didn’t get the conditioning just right my long hair would end up being a knotted mess and was a nightmare to comb through. That didn’t end up being the case, witch also made me very happy because the last thing I wanted to do was to produce more damage. Once my hair was dry I could see that using the Vidal Sassoon Repair shampoo had made my hair look and feel so much better. By the third washing with it my hair was looking and feeling even healthier then it had in over a year. I have been using the Vidal Sassoon Repair Shampoo along with their Repair conditioner for a few months now and although I have cut over half of my old length off during this time, I know it has repaired the rest of my hair a great deal. The damage I had was from top to bottom and I didn’t shave my head when I had my hair cut. All the damage that was there is all gone now! If your hair has damage like mine did than I’d definitely tell you to give Vidal Sassoon Repair Shampoo a try. It truly has helped my hair when I honestly though I was going to have to shave my head and start over! No joke!! -

I won my Essence I Love Extreme Volume Macara as part of a prize for doing the review of the week here on ChickAdviser. I really wanted to like this mascara, but unfortunately it just wasn’t for me. I like my mascara’s to have a curved brush because I find it easier to get each of my lashes with this type of brush. This mascara along with most others on the market has a straight brush, so I found it a bit tricky to use. How ever those of you that like and are use to a straight brush shouldn’t have any trouble with it. The brush has big fat bristles that can pick up most lashes and it has a really nice black pigment to it. It also will give you a lot of volume, but I found it didn’t thinken my lashes the way I like them to be. I have naturely long lashes so lengthing them isn’t something that I really look for when I’m choosing mascara, it’s the thickening that I want. Once you have it on it does stay on all day and it doesn’t flake, or smudge, how ever it does tend to clump up if you over do it when you're applying it. I found myself having to whipe off the end of the brush pretty much every time I took it out and if you apply to much at one time, you’ll need a lash comb to separate you lashes. You may even find yourself having to remove it and start over. I had my lashes stick together a few times and when I tried to fix this it just made my lashes look short and dumpy looking. Now like I said this could all just be my own doing as I’m not use to a straight brush and while trying to get the look that I’m use too, I may very well have caused all of this myself. The Essence I Love Extreme Volume Mascara sells for about $5, so if you do try it and find you do care for it its not like you’ll be out a lot of money. So for the $5 I think its worth given a try, it just wasn't for me. -
