I receive my CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 free from the ladies here at ChickAdvisor, thanks ladies. It’s quite thick however it goes on nicely and dries pretty fast as long as you don’t use a lot at a time. You really only need a small amount as it spreads very easily. I’ll be 48 in June and I’ve notice that my once oily skin has become quite dry in places with in the past few years. From the first day I tried this moisturizing lotion the dryness disappeared and the only time I have noticed it again was after I had washed with something that is to hush for my skin. On the other hand I have also noticed that it seems more like a sunscreen than a facial moisturizer, witch ended up increasing the amount of oil that my skin is now producing. With in just a few hours my face is covered in oil and by the end of the day it can become so bad that I can feel it burning my eyes. A quick wash takes care of this, but it’s been years since I’ve had to deal with so much oil on my skin and I’m not use to it. When I first started using it this also worried me because I was afraid that all this extra oil would cause my skin to start braking out. Unfortunately I was right and with in a week of using it my skin did begin to brake out. So this moisturizing lotion has its ups and its downs, but if you don’t have or never did have oily skin that tends to brake out, I would still recommend it to you. If you have skin like me than I would tell you to stay clear of it. -

I was lucky enough to be chosen by the Brand Power web site to give a Glad Wax Melts Warmer and two different scents of their wax melts a try. The Warmers sale for about $11.99, but I have seen it on sale for $9.97 and the melts packages that contain eight melts each sell for about $3.99. Depending on how long you leave the warmer on each wax melt should last for a good 12 hours or more. The first thing I thought of when I took the warmer out of the packaging was, the cord for the plug was very short witch will limit the places that you could place it in your home and feel safe. You defiantly have to be careful where you place it when it’s on if you have small children or pets. The warmer its self can get pretty hot and as you know even though wax cools very fast it’s very hot in its liquid form. Other wise I really enjoy having it in our home, I liked it so much that I bought another one so all of my house can be filled with any of the wonderful scent they offer us. The warmer only comes in a light blue color, so it may not match some decors. The melts are available in different scent depending on the season. I received their Fresh Berries and their Vanilla Passion Fruit scents and just love how much these scents filled my home with freshness. They have 21 different scents to choose from right now, but some are a limited addition and will most likely be replaced as season change. Around Christmas I picked up their limited addition Sparkling Spruce scent trying to make our fake Xmas tree smell more real. My husband really liked this scent, but it gave me a headache, so I won’t be buying more of that one next year. I also bought their Apple Cinnamon Cheer at Xmas time and I just loved that one. It made our home smell like an apple pie was baking. If you haven’t given a Glad Wax Melts Warmer and their melts a try yet you should. I think they are the best air fresheners on the market right now. -

After I’ve tried Pantene’s Pro-V Advanced Keratin Repair Slit Ends Fuser a few times I wasn’t thrilled with it. My hair tends to be oily on top and dry closer to the bottom and when I first tried it my hair was very long. Last summer I cut my hair to just past my shoulders and tried this again. How ever I ended up with the same results after applying the Repair Split Ends Fuser just to my shorter hair as I did with my longer hair. All it did was make my hair very greasy and I found it a bit hard to wash out of my hair. It also did nothing for the split ends that I had. If you have oily hair I wouldn’t recommend that you bother with it. In my opinion you’d just be wasting your money. -

After trying Garniers original BB Cream and their BB Cream for combination to oily skin I decided to give their new Anti-Aging BB Cream a try. It’s also an all in one cream that they say can reduce the look of wrinkles, firm skin, even tone, and can hydrate your skin for up to 24 hours all in one application. They also say that after one use 89% of the woman that tried it saw smoother, more even toned skin instantly. After giving it a try I’m happy to change that 89% to 90%. It has a closer consistency as their original BB Cream has, it goes on very easily and smoothly, and I found that it stayed on top of my skin and didn’t sink into my large pores like their combination to oily skin BB Cream did. It gave me just the look I was going for along with the benefit of an anti-aging cream. If you’re looking for a simple fast way to get the look of makeup with out all the fuss along with the effects that an anti-aging cream can give you, than I’d definitely recommend you give Ganiers Anti-Aging BB Cream a try. I love it even more than I did their original BB Cream. -

As soon as I saw this new Kraft Peanut butter with Honey being sold I had to pick some up. Everyone in our family loves it. It’s made with real roasted peanuts and real honey. It’s only available in a 500ml jar for now and it sells for about $3.99 depending on where you buy it. It has a nice smooth consistently and spreads onto your bread or your toast just as easily as plain Kraft peanut butter does. The only difference is that this one has that touch of honey added right to it. This not only tastes good it saves you from buying honey on top of buying peanut butter. If you enjoy peanut butter and honey sandwiches, or the two together on your toast, I’d tell you to give this new Kraft Peanut butter with honey. -

All Apple Island Soaps are Canaidan made and hand crafted in small batches to ensure freshness. They have 25 different scented soaps to choose from and each 110g bar sells for $5.95 plus shipping. Some of their other scented soap that are available are Coastal Calm that is scented lavender and cedarwood, Honey Oatmeal that is made with real honey and real oatmeal, Mountain Mint that is scented with spruce and spearmint and Peace scented with bergamot, clary sageand ylang-ylang just to name a few. I received their Lem ‘n’Lime soap free to try and it smells absolutely wonderful. The lemon lime scent is a refreshing wake me up any time of the day, or night, but I love it the most first thing in the morning. When using it if you close your eye’s it almost feels as if you are standing in a orchared full of lemon and lime trees during a warm spring rain. It’s actually scented with real lime and lemongrass. Thses soaps are square shaped and the corners and straight edges take a bit of time to get use to, but they wear down soon enough. It lathers up very well and doesn’t leave your skin feel dry and tight. You also won’t end up smelling like a lemon once you are done washing because the scent is light enough not to stick around. I`d definitely recommend Apple Island Naturals Lem`n`Lime soap and I will be trying out some of their other soaps. One word of warning, don`t leave it in your shower in a soap dish that doesn`t drain away water. If it sits in water it will melt away much faster and become mushy. -

I received a free nice size sample of Lacoupe Argan Oil Smoothing conditioner to try, but if you are interested in giving it a try it’s only sold in salons. I can’t say how much it sells for, or witch salons carry it, so you’d have to call around if you’d like to try it. This conditioner is supposed to protect and enhance your hair as the argan oil and other botanical extracts simultaneously seal in your hairs moisture and lock out humidity. This is supposed to keep your hair straighter and frizzfree. I tried this conditioner along with the shampoo that goes with it and didn’t care for either of them. I normaly shy away from any hair care products that contain any type of oils because my hair tends to be on the oily side, so I’ve never had much luck with these type of hair care products. They both smelled bad to me and weren’t something that I’d want to use everyday. They both did help with fly aways, but they also both weighed my hair down and made it look oily with in half a day. I wouldn’t recommened this conditioner to anyone especially if you have oily hair. -

I received a free nice size sample of Lacoupe Argan Oil Smoothing Shampoo to try, but you can find a full size 750 ml bottle for sale at Salon Lacoupe. Unfortunately I can’t give you a price, but because its only sold in their salon’s you can bet it’s on the pricier side. Lacoupe Argan Oil shampoo is infused with morocco’s prized Argan Oil known to locals as liquid gold. It’s rich in antioxidants, vitamin E and Argon Oil that is supposed to repair your hair while it protects it from damage. They say using it will give you more manageable and silky hair. When I first opened the package I was hit with this scent something like a cooking oil, but even though I wasn’t thrilled with the smell I tried it any way. It lathers up nicely and rinse`s away easily enough, but it didn’t do a whole lot for my hair. I really wasn’t inpresed with it. My hair didn’t feel all that much different than it does when I shampoo with my usual shampoo. Do to this I won’t be running out looking for a salon that carries it so I can buy more and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone especially if you have oily hair. -

I’ve tried many facial cleansers over the years trying to find something that would not only get rid of the acne that I had, but that would also help to prevent it from returning. The Neutrogena web site tells us that their Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Cream Wash formula gently cleans deep down into pores. It contains salicylic Acid to get rid of acne and it helps to prevent future breakouts. It has special skin soothers that help to prevent irritation and over drying. When I was using this cleanser it always left my face feeling clean and refreshed, but never over dried it like they said it wouldn’t do. It helped with my acne, but only to an extent, it never completely removed all of it, or kept it from returning. So I moved onto another product. If you’re just looking for a nice cleanser than I tell you to try this one, how ever if you’re using it to get rid of your acne for good, I’d also tell you not to expect miracles from it. -

I gave the Biore Warming Anti-Blackhead Cream Cleanser a try back when it first came on the market because blackheads are one of the bigger problems that I’ve had to deal with over the years. You only need a small amount of this cleanser and it does have a nice warming feeling that you can feel with in a few seconds of rubbing it onto your face. It also exfoliated you skin fairly well. How ever after using the whole container my blackhead problem was still there and hadn’t improved at all. There for I wouldn’t recommend it for treating blackheads, but it is a nice warming cleanser if that’s what you’re looking for. Other wise I’d tell you to try something else. -
