We're Obsessed With... Rodarte Spring 2012 Collection
In this We're Obsessed With... we are talking not one but two genius chicks- the Mulleavy sisters. Their label, Rodarte, exploded onto the American fashion scene and with fans like the Fanning sisters, blogger Tavi, Beyonce, Chloe Sevigny and Taylor Swift, their styles are a red carpet staple.
During New York Fashion Week, Rodarte showed their Spring 2012 collection and I feel head over heels in love with it. The collection was inspired by Van Gogh and his paintings. Sunflowers, stars and a palette of greens, blues and yellows are used to inspire a romantic and whimsical feeling.
My favourite piece is this off-the-shoulder sunflower gown with layers of sheer fabrics (right). I love that it has some period era style to it but still very modern. You would think that the mustard yellow flowers and mint green would clash together but together they make the dress on trend for the Spring season.
