5 Reader-Raved Facial Products for Sensitive Skin

Speaking at a recent skincare event, Dr. Maha Dutil, top Toronto dermatologist, said 3 out of 4 women have some level of skin sensitivity. Are you one of them?

Dr Dutil explained that skin sensitivities can come from a number of factors, including your genes, skin conditions (such as eczema or rosacea), using too many products with preservatives, alcohol or fragrances, and allergies.  Sensitivity can be triggered by changes in temperature, acne treatments, stress, using too many products on your skin, and hormonal changes like menopause.

Sound familiar?  If you suffer from sensitive skin, try one of these top reader-rated products to cleanse and soothe your facial skin.

Here's what a few of our reviewers had to say:

I don't think I have sensative skin; if I do it must be pretty mild. I guess we're lucky if we're the minority (1 in 4)

I don't have sensitive skin but my kids all have problems with eczema now and then. I hooked onto Aveeno early on and it's been great for them in terms of not inflaming it worse. To soothe, though, if it's a bad bout I need to go for something a little more intense. But for mild cases, Aveeno is the only one I use.
