We’re all too familiar with the “sweater-dress,” but the newest trend takes it to the next level - the oversized baggy sweater as a dress!  Take a look at these celebrity fashion statements...


Throw on a striped, floral or funky-printed baggy sweater and pair it with your favourite tights, leggings or jeggings to stay warm. Here are some of our favourites:

Striped maxis made their debut on the streets this past summer, and celebrities like J-Lo, Rihanna, Paris Hilton, Gwen Stefani and Khloe Kardashian were quick to pick up on the trend.


We saw stripes in every cut and colour, though simple black & whites proved most versatile.

Brooklyn jewellery designer, Carrie Bilbo, has taken raw-cut stones into the realm of cocktail rings.

Cynthia Rowley has added some pizzazz to shapewear with her newest collection, SLIM.

While the pieces are fun and colourful, it makes us wonder if "fun" and "colourful" are adjectives we really want to apply to our shapewear. Isn't the whole point of squeezing and wiggling your way into those skin cinching undergarments so that no one will know you needed any in the first...

These (admittedly gorgeous) heels not only look pretty swell, they also light up when you step! At an eye popping price tag of $2500, well goshdarnit, they'd better be pretty fancy.

(And here you thought only Buzz Lightyear sneakers could do that...)

Let's assume for a second you could afford this splurge....

When we first got wind of OPI's Shrek inspired collection Shrek Forever After, thoughts of swamp water green or earwax orange came to mind. Not that founder Suzi Weiss-Fischmann has anything but impeccable taste, it's just... if the collection is based on farty swamp dwelling ogres it's hard to imagine it would be so fresh and lovely!
