While a signature scent is nice to have, I'm more of a 'scent switching' kind of girl. I like to match my outfit to my mood; my clothing and makeup choices depend on how I am feeling that day. So why shouldn't it be the same with my fragrance? I like the idea of going with a complete look and feel with my outfit, makeup and scent. If I wake up feeling rather creative one... If the previously discussed princess-esque headchains were a little out of your comfort zone but you still want to play with a headpiece trend this fall, you need to go out and get yourself a statement headband.

Dolce and Gabana really hit it out of the park in their fall 2012 show when they put gloriously baubled headbands on model's heads (yes, gloriously baubled is a thing). The... Let's be honest with each other for a sec. I (and I think can safely say we) don't wash my (our) hair everyday. Some days, it might even be a little oily (gasp!). I would like to say that my disdain for hair washing comes from a strict beauty routine and not wanting to strip my hair of it's natural oils. The truth is far less glamorous though, it boils down to pure laziness.

As I left my house for work today, I wore not only a cardi but a blazer as well. It was clear: fall is here. I was feeling a bit nostalgic for the summer months but I quickly perked up because I realised the following things:
1. Fall means corduroy, plaid, chunky knit sweaters galore!
2. September issue of Vogue comes out.
3. I have an excuse to not shave (like I'm the only one... Continue Reading Pour lire cet article en français, voir plus bas
I'm convinced that whoever invented fluorescent lighting had a very personal vendetta against me. I hate it. It's yellowy hues casts a greenish, blue light over my skin making me look tired and sick. It's harshness brings out every line and crease. Clearly, fluorescent lighting is an evil tool designed to make me look my worst.
Unfortunately... Continue Reading Pour lire cet article en français, voir plus bas
Oh Miley, we need to stop meeting like this. You have been our Yay or Nay subject one too many times my dear, and yet, you don't seem to learn. Well, in any case, here we are again and we have a doozy of a Miley outfit to discuss. Here Miley is, walking the red carpet at the recent MTV Video Music Awards.

Last week, I was a bit harsh on Kate Hudson who showed off a little bit... Continue Reading Pour lire cet article en français, voir plus bas
For me, beauty starts with my skin. I like to think of my face as a canvas and makeup as the paint. But before I start to paint, I've got to have a good base to work with. Which is why skincare is so important. The ChickAdvisor staff has let you in on their skincare routines (see Alexandra's, Mandy's and Ali's) and now we're turning it around to you!
This week (September... Continue Reading Pour lire cet article en français, voir plus bas

I'll be honest. I am a little sad that I am not going back to school this year. Not because I'll be missing the tests, assignments and projects. Oh no, I am done with those, but what I am missing is back to school shopping. While I can still do a good fall fashion haul these days, what I don't get to do is buy all of my gadgets and supplies for the new school year.
I thought it... Continue Reading
