For those who own dogs that shed like crazy, this brush tackles all fur-kinds! Grocery bags full of dog hair by the time I am finished brushing my dog. Keep up with this routine once a week, and eliminate those tumbleweeds in the house! Best purchase I ever made; a little more expensive, but it works!
I was first introduced to the Furminator through my work in animal shelters. From first use, I knew I had to have one. Eventually I was able to get one for home and it works fantastic on both my dog and cat. The only drawbacks I have is the plastic self-cleaning feature melted when I boiled my Furminator to disinfect it. Also, although this product works quite well, it is priced way to high for what it is.
This is the only brush that helps to get my German Shepherds under coat. She looks great and sheds so much less thanks to this brush.
This brush works like no other. I get a whole ball of fur when I used this on my cat. Much better than other brushes or combs that I've used!
A must have for all pet lovers. This is the best brush available for pets who shed, you can literally create another animal with all the fur you'll brush off. They can be pricey but they're worth it. Super durable, this brush lasts for years. I've had mine for at least 7yrs and its still going strong.
I have 3 cats, and 1 sheds enough to make a 4th (probably 5th) cat. This products is amazing and has helped control Lucky's shedding. I'm no longer having to vacuum every single day. I recommend this to anyone with a dog or cat that sheds a lot. Will definitely help if you suffer from allergies as well.
These brushes are not cheap, over $60 in most cases, but if you have a fluffy animal, or one who sheds a lot, it's an amazing tool. After years of having a short haired cat, I adopted a medium hair cat and suddenly instead of piles of fur on the floor it was floating around my apartment in clumps. This 'brush' looks like a nit comb, but it grabs hold of the hairs that have shed but are stuck to neighbouring hairs as well as getting at the underfur of some pets. Generally I use it once a week and end up with a fistful of hair and that's after I'm squashed it down in my hand. Fortunately my cat loves it and puts up with me chasing him around and rolling him over to get at his belly. The only thing to be careful of with a cat, is that if they like to rub their face along things, this is a solid metal comb so watch their eyes.
Furminators come in sizes by pet, cat, small dog etc. but best I can tell is that this affects only the size the comb itself. The cat one is quite narrow and I ended up exchanging it for a dog one so that the head was wider and we could get more area combed at once. Don't tell my cat he's got a dog brush!
I love this product, it's so efficient and works really well to get out all your cats loose fur and dander. I have allergies and I am unfortunately allergic to my cats but after I use the Furminator on them my allergies aren't as bad!! I am so thankful for this product.
The Furminator is a wonderful product, which can be used on dogs or cats. I ordered it from QVC a few years ago, when it 1st came out, for our big girl-Cocoa. She loved to be brushed with this. She was constantly shedding and absolutely loved me brushing her with it. Of course, she always expected a treat afterwards, which she got.
Over the years we have purchased so many different cat brushes for our long haired boy,we have lost count but after using the Furminator we threw all of them away. Not only is it very effective in brushing out the knots and getting to the undercoat but most importantly our cat loves it!
