If you love sweet lemon in the summer...

I purchased an assorted pack of macaroons from Winners/Home Sense around Christmas. These macaroons are 70 calories each and made in Italy. You can taste the high-quality! A macaroon has 2 crunchy soft shells and in the middle is a thick cream. The shells add a nice crunchy texture and the cream adds a delicate smooth texture. This macaroon has a good sweetness to it. The filling flavors and shell flavors differ based on the flavor combination. This smells like lemon. It has a nice vibrant yellow shell to match the fruit. Less sweet than other flavours because citrus cuts through the sweetness; mild lemon flavour-- not very strong and not sour at all. The flavor is very natural - like a lemon candy that does not have that artificial aftertaste. This reminds me of a lemon gelato flavour. The cream has a lemon flavour; cream is stronger in lemon taste than shell.
