Solid
I received maximum deadblow ball pein hammer 16oz for free from butterly to try out. This product is well made with a good solid weight. The impact is soft and gets the job done perfectly. The head is made of stainless steel that won’t rust and a very good grip. I have not personally used this product but my spouse used it and he is happy that the product works well better than other ones we have. Thank you Canadian tire for the opportunity to try out this amazing product.
Excellent tool
I used this dead blow hammer while reinstalling our cold air return after putting in new flooring, and it worked perfectly. It gave me enough force to seat everything properly without damaging the vent or the surrounding floor. The dead blow design really helped control the impact and prevented bounce-back, which made the job easier and more precise.
It felt well-balanced and comfortable to use, even when making repeated taps to get everything lined up just right. I especially appreciated that it allowed me to apply steady pressure without worrying about cracking or denting anything.
Overall, this hammer was exactly what I needed for a delicate but stubborn install. I’d definitely recommend it for flooring work, HVAC vents, or any project where you need controlled force without causing damage.
excellent
MAXIMUM Deadblow Ballpein Hammer, 16-oz
My husband loved his new tool; the magician is comfortable to work with and has a good grip. "I received this product for free from @Butterly butterly Marketing for testing and review purposes."
Small but mighty
I love the non slip grip handle, it’s comfortable and easy to hold. The hammer itself is not too heavy but definitely packs a punch. This will be a great tool for normal household and garage projects. It’s perfect for light-medium metal shaping, it also greatly helped in removing a seized brake rotor. This is a great addition to my tool box.
Surprisingly Powerful for a 16-oz Deadblow”
Solid, Low-Rebound Hammer That Gives Great Control
I recently used the MAXIMUM 16-oz Deadblow Ballpein Hammer while working on a small DIY project in my garage — tightening and reshaping a slightly bent metal bracket on my lawnmower deck. It was a job where I needed controlled force without risking dents or slipping, and this hammer honestly made the task much easier than my regular steel ball-peen.
The deadblow design was the biggest difference. Because the head is filled with steel shot, the hammer doesn’t bounce back the way a normal hammer does. Every strike felt very controlled and solid, and I didn’t have to fight the recoil. That helped me get the metal shaped faster and with fewer swings.
The handle is another nice feature — the non-slip grip stayed steady even when my hands were a bit oily. It feels balanced, comfortable, and easy to swing for longer periods without tiring my wrist.
Compared to the other hammers I own:
• My standard 16-oz steel ballpeen delivers harder hits, but it has a lot more bounce and vibration. After a few heavy strikes, my hand usually feels it.
• My rubber mallet is gentle but too soft for shaping metal — it just doesn’t have the power.
• This MAXIMUM deadblow sits perfectly in the middle — more power than a mallet, more control and less vibration than a steel hammer.
For light to medium-duty work, like automotive parts, brackets, chisels, or general workshop tasks, it’s been great. I wouldn’t use it for very heavy metal-forging or big demolition jobs, but that’s not what it’s made for.
Overall, it’s a solid, comfortable hammer with excellent control, and for typical household or garage projects, it definitely performs better than my other basic hammers. I’m glad I added it to my toolkit.
A tool you didn’t know you needed!
I moved into a new house in the summer and while changing out some broken vent covers, noticed they would not fit in properly.
The problem? Poorly finished duct work! I tried to fix it to make it lie flat with my go to hammer, but it just didn’t work. Having this ballpein hammer did the trick! I was able to make the metal duct work flatten out and the new vent cover slipped right in place! As a DIYer, I don’t know if it was the right tool, but it worked like a charm!
Blow ball
Used this to shape sheet metal, and it worked amazing. Super easy to use without damaging anything. Would recommend to anyone that needs something easy like this.
Great little hammer
I was sent this 16oz dead blow hammer to try out, and it exceeded expectations!
I wasn’t expecting much, as it appears to be smaller and a light-mid weight, but it’s a great addition to any handyman’s toolbox.
I was switching out brake drums on my old truck. Rust completely seized most of the parts and made removal 10x harder. This hammer provided the perfect amount of weight to hit on the rusted parts to loosen them, without breaking anything in the process. I’ve gone years doing brakes without one and will never go back now, it’s the perfect addition, a great hammer without being too clunky for day-to-day repairs!
Excellent must have for your tool box
Light weight hammer great addition for your family tool box . Excellent gift for handyman in your family . Will be a great addition to the many projects planned for the spring
