I got this watch for myself for Christmas and so far I am happy with it. The product description says it is gold plated and a crystal watch. It came with 2 extra links that are easily attached or removed. To extend the length you just clasp the extra link on any end of the watch. I like how shiny and sparkling it is, it catches the light at all the right angles. I have worn it 3 times and got a lot of compliments. I bought this on discount from Amazon.ca
