Helped Rid "New" Trailer of its Inhabitants!

Part of owning a cabin lot is having vermin come in during the cooler seasons (or any season) if your trailer or cabin aren't properly sealed. We jus obtained a new RV trailer, and it came with its own mice! Awesome!

So, we set up this trap in hopes of ridding it of the little critters before inhabiting the trailer. Husband is deathly afraid of mice, and saw one, therefore he won't go in until the trap comes out empty for at least a week and we've sealed all the holes.

The trap is pretty simple to set up - put in the batteries (which are included!), place the bait in one of two channels, and wait.

Well...2 weeks later, it caught half a dozen mice, and there has been no evidence of them since we scrubbed down the inside of the trailer and covered all the gaps and holes on the exterior that we could find.

We knew there were mice within the unit, as there is a blinking green light on the outside when the trap has done its job.

It isn't recommended for people who like to bait and release, as it actually sends a charge to the mice in order to kill them - there are no survivors.

There *is* a safety switch that has protected our curious pups when one of them got into the trailer and decided to investigate the trap - he wasn't anywhere near the "kill" area from the outside, so it passed this test as well. As well, not using mouse poison gives us peace of mind that our pups won't become poisoned if they ingest or play with a carcass (like we were afraid of with the green poison pellets and seeds).

I like that it has a holding container within it where the carcasses are held until we emptied it.

Overall, we are happy with it, and will keep it in the trailer during the winter....just in case a few mice decide to find their way in!
