Hotel Saskatchewan Cortlandt Hall, Monarch Lounge

1 review

I went there at one time 7 years back and the food had been really good. By the time I went there last, the food had degenerated into dry cheeses and floury, flat desserts. The decor was getting old and not as clean as it should have been. Friends also agree that the food is bar...

Located on Carlton st in Toronto. It's 24 hours which is convenient if you're out late and you want To grab a bite but I had a terrible experience and will never be going back. I ordered crepes and my friend ordered spaghetti. I tried her spaghetti which wasn't bad but the...
Cora - Richmond, BC

In a word- yuck. Such small portions and so mediocre. The only thing that's good is the fruit salad. Terrible crepes and uncrispy, overcooked potatoes. I pay $16.99 for a breakfast that's tiny and bad? No thanks. Too 15 minutes just to get handed menus.
IHOP - Richmond, BC

I can't understand how anyone can eat here more than one terrible time. They can't even cook eggs or pancakes properly and their a breakfast place! Everything is so greasy and lukewarm. Even the syrup is cheap. Coffee is terrible. It's just a train wreck.

IHOP

IHOP - terrible. A group of 4 of us ate there. The order was wrong, the food was cold, the server dropped my toast on the floor and never brought me new slices, server poured regular instead of diet cola, it was a disaster. Then we waited and waited ... and waited for our check...
Cora's (Dresden Row)

1 review

Please keep in mind this review is only for the Cora's in Downtown Halifax. The Lacewood one is a much different experience. February of 2013, my friend and I decided to go to Cora’s on Dresden Row in Halifax, to start our day off. We had been there many times, and we love...

Thought I would try the dinner menu at IHOP instead of breakfast all the time. Well should have stuck with breakfast!! Portion size was small, greasy food that was frozen not fresh. Server stopped at our table to order and that was it. Will not be going back for dinner. Maybe...

The worst restaurant I have been to the service is slow and terrible. The food seems out of the microwave. Had a problem with my order went to the owner his response go eat somewhere else thats exactly what I did.
The Senator

1 review

I used to be a regular diner at the Senator. I stopped going as often because it was getting expensive for easy to make brunch food. I went in January and was shocked by the HUGE price increase for the same food. A bowl of oatmeal for $12 plus tax and tip is ridiculous for a...
Assiniboine Park Conservatory Restaurant

The conservatory itself - the flowers, etc. are okay. However, the restaurant is not good at all. Last time we were there, the service was incredibly slow and the server was not paying attention at all. The prices were okay, but not worth the bad service and mediocre food.
Old No 12 Cafe and Lounge

Good home cooked food!, the owner hires new kids (15-16 yr olds) to give them their first jobs, food is made fresh, very homey feeling, few VLT's in the back. community loves it although some prices are too high

I finally got a chance to visit this place after I saw that it was voted best brunch on blogTO. My friend and I arrived around 10:15 on a Sunday morning and we got the last free table. We ordered the breakfast pocket and the omelette of the day. The focaccia bread pocket was...
Bloor Jane Restaurant

After hearing loads of comments about how "great the Bloor Jane restaurant is" and how "their breakfast is the best for miles around" and "their milkshakes are fantastic" etc etc, my boyfriend and I decided to take a bunch of our friends and go. And oh god, it was AWFUL. It...
Maggies

It's an eclectic small place that is crammed by 10am. If you just want eggs and toast, you might as well go next door to the College St. Diner, but this place is more gourmet. It's not TOO expensive. Most things are between $8-$12 including a coffee. The homefries are garlicky...
Coras

While I love the food at Cora's, I've had some spotty service there on more than one occasion. One time a server completely forgot about our table and had attitude when we finally managed to get her attention to ask for the bill. But I've also had great service there, and like...

Oh, gosh - where do i begin? I live very near this restaurant and at first was so happy to have found it - the food is, indeed, excellent. The neighbourhood feel was welcoming, so I began to frequent the restaurant and within two or three visits realized that this is NOT a...

This is my go to place for eggs Benedict, I've tried eggs Benedict at alot of places but they really know how to do it right. They have a pretty big variety for breakfast, but I always get the Benedict because it's just so good. Only downfall is that sometimes the cook isn't as...
