Elephant & Castle

2 reviews

There is an Elephant & Castle in the Rideau Centre, Ottawa. I agree that the atmosphere is a little different, but still enjoyable. My sister and I went once, and the prices were fair, the food was pretty good, and the service (for Ottawa) was really good. I would go again...
Gasthaus Gutenberger

If like authetic German food this is the place in Winnipeg. I have been going there since the beginning and it's outstanding. I highly recommend. Just bring your extra large belt you're going to need it.
Sassafraz Cafe

Gorgeous place, friendly management, of course, the food menu is spectacular. Extremely expensive, but I enjoy dining in Yorkville and people watching. I come here over and again, especially when I want to entertain visitors.
Tavern in the Park

Gorgeous location and the Sunday brunch is wow! A lot of selection and everything is delicious. Assinaboine Park is just in general a great place to hang around to go rollerblading, go for a walk with icecream or check out the zoo!
The Royal Crown Revolving Restaurant

I could see the Revolving Restaurant being a good place to come for a few drinks, but eat before you go out. I've been disappointed everytime.
Mr. Dunderbak's (Greensboro and elsewhere)

An old-world market restaurant stuck in a corner of the lower level in Four Seasons Mall in Greensboro. They carry many german/alpine products such as chocolate, coffee, biscuits, sausage, etc. The main attraction, however, is the restaurant area. The decor is quite...
Czehoski

Some friends of ours recommended we check this place out and we were there for dinner recently. I like the ambiance - it's very trendy Queen St. West. My husband loved his food but I wasn't as wild over mine. I had the lamb, which was cold. They reheated it for me, but I had...
Bailey's

I was also underwhelmed by this restaurant. It's located in the trendy exchange district of Winnipeg and from the outside it looks interesting. I only went in for drinks and snacks with some friends, so I didn't get a proper idea of the food. The service was slow and it was a...
Il Negozio Nicastro

The food at this little nook is positively superb. I do find that on weekends it is not as good as during the week, but that may be due to the fact that they are so busy. Quite a few people in the Glebe buy essential italian cooking materials here, such as their own brand of...
The Smokehouse Restaurant at Ponte Winery

This was the best restaurant we visited in the San Diego area. The tables are outdoors, covered with crisp white linen with a view of the vineyards. It has a very European vibe and paired with the excellent food and fresh wine, I could have sat there all day. We ordered the...

We stopped by here for a late after-movie dinner. What a gem! To get to the point: What I liked... -cozy atmosphere, understated decor -great service -fresh food (and delicious, by the way) -great location next to the Cineplex Scotia theatre What I liked...

I personally haven't been here. But my boyfriends family has a few times and had nothing but compliments. I love that hamilton has these little portuguese restaurants and am planning to go join my boyfriend here very soon!
Table 16

1 review

Last night my husband I were treated to dinner at Table 16. We'd been there once before last year but weren't overly impressed. Since then then they've added a new chef and changed the menu to multi-cultural fusion style bistro. And the results are amazing. I had a...
Cafe Bari

I liked Cafe Bari, but the service wasn't very good. I ordered a veggie sandwich and they served me a steak sandwich. The server was sure I had ordered a steak sandwich, which is funny since I don't eat red meat. I think if you get someone's order wrong and they...
Pannekoeken Huis

The Traditional Dutch Pannekoeken is the best. Topped with powdered sugar and a squirt of lemon makes it taste even better. The one in Maplewood also lets you call in an order for take out, which is great for people on the go.
Burgoo Bistro - Main St

The Mac n’ cheese was appalling. What a sad flavorless excuse for an irish stew. I could go on, but it’s not worth it. My partner had "Butter Chicken" but really it was vegetable and chicken curry with brown rice...and it wasn't even remotely close to butter chicken...
Bonetta Restaurant

I popped in here after a little shopping at Nood in Gastown for a snack. We only ordered the Ahi Tuna Sashimi, $16 (pictured) so it's probably unfair of me to rate the food overall. This dish was nice, but not the best I've had. It had a smokey quality to it (maybe it...
Allen's

Not that there are that many Irish restaurant in Toronto, but, this one serves the best traditional Irish meals. The servers are all very respectable. I have never gotten bad service from there. The back patio is great in the summer. It's shaded with trees and very secluded...
Restaurant Cafeteria

Cafeteria was a pleasant surprise! They let me order off menu (I wanted thin crepes with fresh strawberries vs. thick pancakes) which were delicious. It was served with more fresh fruit and a tiny wine glass filled with maple syrop. The decor is funky/trendy with black...
The Red Pump Inn

The restaurant was fantastic. They offer daily features along with their yummy menu. For starters I had the French Onion Soup with Puff Pastry top and Gruyere and Emmenthal Cheese. It was so flavorful. For my Entree I had the Angus steak with potato Anna (OMG they are...
