Italian Reviews

Everyone has their 'favourite little Italian place', their date night go-to or parking spot for lovelorn carb-aholic therapy.  Whether our love affair's with authentic Italian food or the pseudo-Italian Americanized fare we prefer, the blend of fresh housemade pastas and pizzas, cheese, garlic and great wine is a recipe for a sizzling night out or a satisfying night in.  Pair that with a great patio and we'll throw all those silly New Year's resolutions out the window right here and now.

Italian Kitchen

The Dungeness Crab Ravioli, $21 with mascarpone, lemon and pesto cream is sheer heaven. It doesn't feel heavy at all and the pesto is so fresh. I will dream about this pasta until I return. Now that I got that out of the way... I really like this restaurant. Great vibe...
Restaurant Da Emma

1 review

Da Emma's is a charming old world Italian Roman restaurant tucked into the basement of an historic prison in Old Montreal. When you first enter there is an impressive collection of celebrity photos on the wall with everyone from Cate Blanchet to Johnny Depp with an arm...
Chianti Cafe & Restaurant

Went there for a girls lunch out. Service is amazing although they were really really crowded but they managed to serve us to the top. They had offer on all the pastas for 9.99 so we tried different plates and they were gooooood. The waiter was understanding and helped our...
Rosebud Restaurant and Bar

Rosebud is a great place to go out with friends especially if you are looking for a nice place with a relaxing feeling. Great place to hit after work if you’re looking to wind down. The restaurant is a chain and there are eleven different locations across the Chicago land...
Sul Viale

It isn't easy ordering pizza to be delivered to a hotel. After a long day of walking around Montreal we just wanted to stay in with a bottle of wine, a movie and a pizza. Unfortunately after calling numerous pizza restaurants who refused to deliver to our hotel (located in the...
Vesuvio Pizzeria & Spaghetti House

Amazing Italian food in the West end of the city. It's not all that accessibly by Subway (about a 15 minute walk from the station) but there is lots of parking around it. You can either order in, take out or go to the actual dining room. They've won many awards for their...
Carrabba's Italian Grill

I LOVE Carrabba's! It's the one restaurant that I request to go to for most of my special occasions (birthday, anniversary, etc...). From beginning to end I thoroughly enjoy every aspect of the meal. From their Pomegranate Martini, Bread w/dipping sauce, Steamed Mussels...

Eastside marios

The best thing about eating here is the all-you-can experience: Be sure to go hungry & be prepared to leave stuffed ! I personally enjoy the unlimited soup, salad & bread meal. It would be better if they offered a greater variety of soups or had a “guest” soup every few...
Nota Bene

Went there years back for a birthday dinner, food was great, but several non Italian dishes. Overall, worth a visit.

Papa John's

I LOVE Papa John's pizza. I had it while on vacation and really liked it. I am sad we don't have one where I live! The taste was great, I didn't find it that greasy and the price was decent. I would definitely go there again!
Unvionville Pizza

Looking for a good meal on the Main St in Unionville? Try Unionville Pizza, with a variety of Italian food: stone baked pizza, pasta and risotto and more. My husband and I went for dinner on Sat night. I had the mushroom penne, with lots of mushrooms and fresh basil. It was the...
Rocco's Plum Tomato

1 review

I had dinner at Rocco's Plum Tomato at 164 the Queensway and really enjoyed my dinner. I had Rocco's salad (which has wonderful dehydrated vegatables within the salad for added texture and a surprise hit of taste) along with the scallop prawn goat cheese penne. I really...
Buca

Last week my boyfriend and I tried Buca located on King Street here in Toronto and I've got to tell you that I had one of the best experiences. While Toronto is a great city I find that we lack great restaurants that you would find in cities like New York and in Chicago...

Vecchio Frak Cafe

The service was pretty good. The staff were pretty quick in serving and were very friendly. I cannot say much about the cost however, I have not been here for any other function other than the ShopCrawl. I enjoyed the pizzas here and the fruit skewers were nice. I will probably...
Segafredo

Another great Montreal hot spot. We came her for dessert one night and to enjoy some live music. It has a very hip and classy feel, even though it is fairly small. Right on Ste-Catherine's you can't miss this great lounge/cocktail bar. The desserts and drinks are amazing and...
