Italian Reviews

Everyone has their 'favourite little Italian place', their date night go-to or parking spot for lovelorn carb-aholic therapy.  Whether our love affair's with authentic Italian food or the pseudo-Italian Americanized fare we prefer, the blend of fresh housemade pastas and pizzas, cheese, garlic and great wine is a recipe for a sizzling night out or a satisfying night in.  Pair that with a great patio and we'll throw all those silly New Year's resolutions out the window right here and now.

Nice ambiance but the few times I've been here the food has been pretty so-so. I last ordered a spinach salad that tasted like nothing at all and I was disappointed in it. However everyone else's stuff looked decent. It wouldn't be my first choice but if you're shopping in the...

I really enjoy going to Hey Lucy!! They have a location on King Street as well as another location that opened near Bloor and Bathurst a few years ago. Hey Lucy always makes me reminisce of when I went to university in downtown Toronto and would frequent Hey Lucy for martinis...

Great food, love the ambiance and very cool hotel in general. We were here around valentine's day and had a great experience and would go back forsure. Pricy, but worth it. Love the music, the lighting, decor, etc.

Fine dining italian-style in downtown Winnipeg. I haven't been in a while, so I hope they've since updated the decor. The food is fantastic, a great place for a date or other special occasion.

I agree. Delicious Italian food. I love the pizzas so much I've never ordered anything else. It's a great location too on Corydon. This is the best place to hang out in the summer. Make sure you try Nucci's Gelati too a few doors down. Best gelato in Winnipeg!

The wait staff are very friendly, and are quite knowledgeable of the menu. The wine selection is quite good as well with a nice selection from cheap to expensive. The menu covers a wide range of italian foods, and fortunately for us, you can substitute the pasta for corn pasta...
Mirto Restaurant

I went there this week with some co-workers. The pasta was great! The drinks were expensive. Then we went there for our Christmas party. The food was excellent. Their pizza is the best I've ever had. Apparently, their Caesar salad is supposed to be the best in Toronto -...
Vecchio Frak Cafe

The service was pretty good. The staff were pretty quick in serving and were very friendly. I cannot say much about the cost however, I have not been here for any other function other than the ShopCrawl. I enjoyed the pizzas here and the fruit skewers were nice. I will probably...

Grazie Ristorante

I found this restaurant online and decided to check it out with my BF. We both had an excellent meal; the taste was amazing (comparable to the olive garden in the US!) When you sit down you are offered a bread bowl (the bread tasted amazing as well). The atmosphere was nice...
Vesuvio Pizzeria & Spaghetti House

Amazing Italian food in the West end of the city. It's not all that accessibly by Subway (about a 15 minute walk from the station) but there is lots of parking around it. You can either order in, take out or go to the actual dining room. They've won many awards for their...
Capone's

My friend has been here a few times and loves it, so she got me to come along once. To be honest, I'm not really a big fan. The atmosphere is so dark you can hardly see anything and there is a lot of crap on the walls. The prices are average I guess, but they don't make me...
Queens Pasta

I've been here on 2 or 3 occasions and each time I wonder why I bothered coming back. Last weekend I came here with my husband because we were in the area walking by, and at just the right moment caught a whiff of garlic and tomatoes that made us decide we were hungry for...

If you're going to come here I recommend dressing up a bit. I did not and I personally felt a little left out. It's a nice Italian restaurant in the Little Italy. The staff was very attentive and the food was pretty good too. This is probably some of the best service that I...
