Italian Reviews

Everyone has their 'favourite little Italian place', their date night go-to or parking spot for lovelorn carb-aholic therapy.  Whether our love affair's with authentic Italian food or the pseudo-Italian Americanized fare we prefer, the blend of fresh housemade pastas and pizzas, cheese, garlic and great wine is a recipe for a sizzling night out or a satisfying night in.  Pair that with a great patio and we'll throw all those silly New Year's resolutions out the window right here and now.

Terroni on Queen

I was very impressed by the fresh pastas as well as the delightful antipasti selections. I was downright surprised by the portion sizes on the salad and pizzas. If you are on a budget, two people can easily split a salad and pizza because they are a generous size. The...
Pasta La Vista

Nice ambiance but the few times I've been here the food has been pretty so-so. I last ordered a spinach salad that tasted like nothing at all and I was disappointed in it. However everyone else's stuff looked decent. It wouldn't be my first choice but if you're shopping in the...

The food was excellent but as soon as we were done eating we saw a cockroah walking up the wall. Never will go back there. Seeing that made my stomach turn
Napoli Centrale

This place is literally around the corner from me (don't stalk) and we've been meaning to stop in for a few months now. We finally went on a Saturday night, ordered a lovely salad (ended up being great, tasty, and huge - enough for 2). Marie was our server (she's from France) is...
Trattoria Mercatto

Address: 220 Yonge St, Toronto (north end of the Eaton Centre, top level) Phone: (647) 352-3390 Let me first warn you that this review may not be helpful to you. Why? Because I eat the exact same thing each and every time I visit Mercatto. I've actually never tried...
The Patio

1 review

The Patio offers some really amazing food. The prices are fair and the portions are HUGE! Their food is consistently wonderful. Their menu is mostly Italian, but they also offer American fare as well as some Greek items. Their pizzas are THE best! They are well prices and they...
Verona

My cousin and I had dinner here last fall before attending a TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) screening. The restaurant was jammed, but the manager kindly showed us to a table as soon as we walked in. At first, I was far from impressed with our waiter. When he first...
Boom Restaurant

This cozy restaurant with unusual decor is in the Soho shopping district. I had a delicious pasta and asparagus soup for $17, with a $5 glass of white wine, which was a lunch special. I really enjoyed both my meal and the ambiance of the restaurant. The service was quite slow...
Stella Osteria

I love this place! The food is amazing and I really enjoyed the overall ambiance of the restaurant. In a romantic-type setting, you get great food and great drinks (I recommend the Tahiti Treat unless you don't like anything too sweet). When I go again though, I will be sure...
Mirto Restaurant

I went there this week with some co-workers. The pasta was great! The drinks were expensive. Then we went there for our Christmas party. The food was excellent. Their pizza is the best I've ever had. Apparently, their Caesar salad is supposed to be the best in Toronto -...
East Side Marios Online Delivery

We were disappointed with the online delivery for a few reasons. The portions for both our pasta dishes were definitely smaller than what you would get if you ate in. The salads came with small plastic cups of Caesar salad dressing which was not enough to coat all the lettuce...
Hey Lucy

I really enjoy going to Hey Lucy!! They have a location on King Street as well as another location that opened near Bloor and Bathurst a few years ago. Hey Lucy always makes me reminisce of when I went to university in downtown Toronto and would frequent Hey Lucy for martinis...
Buca di Beppo

I really disliked the pizza and the spaghetti. I really don't like this restaurant. I also don't love sharing with people because I am a picky eater, so if you aren't big on family-style dining, this is not for you.
Cafe Tiramisu Bistro

1 review

Cafe Tiramisu has changed a bit in quality within the last year. It used to be a short walk from my house and I would head there for brunch with friends quite often. I was just there on Friday and my meal was just mediocre. They use a lot of local ingredients. The fruit was...
Famoso Neapolitan Pizzeria

Famoso is one of the best places for pizza in Edmonton, and has grown to have locations in BC as well. It's truly the chewiest, doughiest thin crust pizza around, with fantastic in-house sauce and great flavours. My favorite is the Cavoletti, which is a white pizza with brussel...
East Side Mario's

I really enjoy going to east sides, especially when I'm really hungry. The unlimited soup/salad and bread are a great deal, although lately it's been difficult to get your waiter/waitress to refill these items. I love pasta and haven't been disappointed with my meal. Although...

They were not very busy on a Sunday night. It took a long time to get our drink orders, they were stingy with our breadsticks.

Terroni on Adelaide

Located at one of Toronto’s scruffy neighbourhoods, homeless and drug addicted people laying on the sidewalk right in front of this place. Unforgiving, lacking respect to the customer service. Mediocre food that you have to wait for the each course at least 30 minutes. For...
Dimmi Bar & Trattoria

1 review

Walking around Yorkville on a Sunday afternoon, my friends and I stumbled upon Dimmi, next to Hemingways. The service wasn't anything spectacular but they were quick for sure. I ordered the Tortellini Alla Panna (Ricotta cheese filled tortellini in a light cream sauce) which...
