Boutiques & Malls Reviews

"The Mall" is this mystical place where every teenage dream comes true:  meeting friends at The Mall, seeing a movie with a new boyfriend at The Mall, shopping for prom dresses at The Mall... One-stop shopping is only one of the many reasons we're drawn to these indoor and outdoor modern-day bazaars like moths to the flame.

As much as we love the reliability of finding our favourite brands on the ubiquitous mall directory boards, other shopping aficionados live for the hunt of the next great boutique.  Independent hat makers, curated dress boutiques, and only-found-here lingerie locales are the treasures that tempt these supporters of the local economy.  Expense, justified.

The Latest Scoop

1 review

The Latest Scoop opened up in the Vancouver area as a pop up shop. They are a clothing and home decor (less) store now with 3-4 locations locally and 2 locations in Toronto. When they first opened they catered to a broad age range- but really a great place for women to buy...
Mango store

1 review

I ised to love Mango clothes back in time, but recently it became so unreasonably priced, and the wuality changed a lot. Back then you were able to find fabulous pieces for decent money, but lately it became really impossible when it comes to prices. Sales are the only time to...
Ever New

1 review

This is an australian chain known as Forever New, but they are branded as Ever New in Canada. They only have a few location in Canada but also have an online Canadian store as well. Their prices are reasonable and everything usually goes on sale if you wait it out. I do find...
Toronto Premium Outlets

1 review

The Toronto Premium Outlets is an outlet mall that is not quite in Toronto, but a 30 minute drive away. They have a decent selection of stores and have a VIP club you can sign up for which gives you access to additional savings on top of any in-store offering. The major issue...
Claire's Accessories

Claires has went downhill immensely. It used to have quality items at an afforable price. Now they sell cheaply made items at a higher cost. Seems they have went a little backwards over the years.
Nordstrom - Toronto Eaton Centre

This store is definitely for the higher end community as there prices are wayy too overpriced and even the areas that have deals, those prices are really ridiculous. I don't shop there and don't intend to do so. Most of those items can be found for cheaper in other places.

Ardene shopping

Although the stores can sometimes be pretty crowded, I do enjoy shopping at Ardene. I think the prices are worth a little store clutter. They always have lots of options in many different styles. They also have great sales every time I go into a store.
Brandy Melville

I will never shop at Brandy Melville. I have tried in the past but I have given up. Unless you are super skinny or 12 years old, their clothes will most likely not fit you. Their large shirts don’t fit me and I usually wear a medium. All of my friends have expressed that they...
H & M Clothing

Personally not a fan. I don't enjoy the way the stores are set up and the lighting.
Pitaya-Ann Arbor

1 review

Pitaya is located at 315 S. State Street in Ann Arbor. The clothes are adorable and so chic, the prices are NOT. Kind of like an upscale Forever 21. Love it here though. The sales ladies were very reluctant to give my friend and I a fitting room though. Most likely because we...
Old Navy (Bayers Lake)

I really love shopping at Old navy. The price is right and I like the clothes. My favorite items are the plain tank tops that I use for layering. Most of the time, the workers at this location are super friendly. Sometimes there are a few extra dust bunnies kicking around on...
Fairview Mall

1 review

Now that they've gotten rid of the movie theatre, no one goes here anymore. It does have a Chapters with Starbucks, future shop, bulk barn, zehrs, and a few clothing stores, but it's really not worth it to go there when there's a better variety at the Pen centre just...

Terrible store that lies to you. My wife and I asked about the return policy before making a purchase and were told that, after asking the manager, we could return the item within 7 days. I went back to return the item within the 7 days and was told that I could not return it...
Place d'Orleans

This is the mall of choice for the local teenagers. They love the gift certificates as gifts. Theres a good variety of stores, and the Santa set up is pretty good for the little ones. Lots of favorite stores for the older teenagers, West 49 and Garage etc. They are pretty...
Sears Canada Inc

Nice stores and set ups but they don't really have a lot that's to great. If you are the female that likes perfumes and expensive makeup, I guess this store is for you. Just about everything is more pricey than everywhere else, even hudson bay is more cheaper and better. Not...
Le Chateau

I had been to the store many times and always happy with what I bought. I was looking for a dress and needed help from staff. I am short waisted and was having trouble finding my size, I told staff (don't know her name) I gave her my size and an idea about what I wanted. She...
Americana Glendale

Very pricey mall--a lot of expensive stores (Juicy Couture, Ruehl, Tiffany's, etc.) but it's in a gorgeous outdoor setting, with several very good restaurants. It's a beautiful place to shop, would recommend to anyone.
Cato

2 reviews

Cato is a good-value clothing and accessories store. I like to shop for clothes based on if I like the style and how much it costs. I don't shop exclusively according to brand names because in my opinion, in the grand scheme of things, who cares?! Of course, it is nice to...
