Love going to Ikea when I have time and I am not in a rush. Going up and down the isle to see all the different items you can purchase. Love the candles and unique lighting there. Great prices on household items and foood
I went to IKEA yesterday and had a good experience. The closest one was about 100 kms so I have been planning this trip. I describe it as an experience in that the store is designed by way of arrows, maps and aisles. It also is divided into sections that are decorated with their products. The sheer amount of products they have are amazing, affordable and trendy.
This is great if you dont care about durability and the toxic chemicals associated with the use of MDF, which is what their products are made of. So you cant spill too much water on the mdf stuff or you end up with a big bubble that swells. The stuff is poor quality and a great deal of what they have to offer is either distateful or just plain tacky. I guess its good for those who have no care for quality or those just starting out with their first apartment/home. I hated it. i am a wood worker and I can make everything they do for less and I will have better quality, with my ow real non toxic wood.
LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE
This is the best home store out there! I have been a huge fan since 2007.. with all the catologues to prove it! You can find everything and anything you need for your home and the price range is incredible, from 50cents to thousands of dollars. If you need it they have it and for an unimaginable price. They even have there own restaurant serving the best meatballs ever! Lingdonberry Juice is one of my favs & if you are feeling adventurous they have Stella Artois or mini bottle of wine :)
IKEA has to be one of the coolest stores out there for home decor! It is literally the most intriguing store to go into . I always leave feeling I need a million dollars to redo a house! The prices are rather reasonable! It is a great place if you are redoing a specific room. The only two things I have found is that it sucks putting together all your furniture with an alan key and second of all the customer service sucks. Maybe it has only been the ones I have been in but when you are trying to check out it is a literally nightmare. I have never seen so many people genuinely not care about their job all in one place before.
Ikea is dangerous. You go in looking for one thing and you come out with $500 less in your bank account. They have so much beautiful stuff at great prices. Their products can be a challenge to put together but as long as you are patient they are worth it.
I love ikea!! I go so often, mostly to look around and for their food! I'm not sure if they still do this, but a couple of years ago, I would go in the morning with my family to get their $1 breakfasts. And I think that if you make it earlier than 10am, you get free coffee. Such a good deal! And if you are not a fan of breakfast, you can always get the frozen yogurt or their meatballs!!
Also, this place is great for parents. If you want to go shopping without your kids running around all over the place, you can have them looked after in the kid zone, which kids love! (I remember it as a child, and it was the highlight of our Ikea visits. Even better than the frozen yogurt).
I love getting decorating ideas and cheap furniture from there, that for the most part, last for me. Got my "bookcase billy" and all my tables from there, and they are still going strong.
I have been an avid shopper at this store for 20 years and love their huge selections and unique items. Easy to follow instructions makes putting furniture together easy but time consuming. The furniture is sturdy and lasts a very long time. The only thing I do not like about shopping at this store is finding the exit cashiers as I seem to walk in circles and spent unnecessary time. Ikea needs to work on that.
