Typically I go to Jack Astors for a casual dinner or to watch sports games but Moxies is now a second runner up. They've recently added a lot of new small dishes to their menu; dry rubbed ribs, sushi cones, variety of different nachos, a special menu for after work/ late night snacks. Reasonably priced and slightly fancier than other competitors.
Moxies Classic Grill is very expensive but the food is not bad. They have a club lime atmosphere and all the girls wear short black skirts or mini dresses. The music is loud and it's very dark. The wait staff spend alot of time and effort trying to sell you cocktails and alcoholic beverages ... which is sometimes annoying. For the value, I only go there if I have to as it's quite pricey.
Moxies Classic Grill;
Always a hit with the girls for a girls dinner or girls martini night.
1/2 price wine on Tuesdays can't go wrong with that!!
Excellent brunch menu I went with my husband.
As well date night ;)
Nice atmosphere, decor, colors, lighting.
Good wine selection.
MOXIES NACHOS!!
if never had GO TRY!!! WILL NOT DISAPPOINT
Moxies is a great place to go and have a nice and relaxing meal or some appetizers. All of the food I have had there was really good and enjoyable. The service is great and the atmosphere is so nice!
Have been to Moxie's twice when we've had relatives visiting. Went earlier in the evening so was not crowded. Our service was good and I can't say I noticed the service staff's attire much, but at least one of the times we had a male server. My teens thought the bathrooms were pretty cool. We all ordered different menu items and they were quite tasty. My only gripe is that I think they are overpriced, but overall it was a nice experience.
The food is just average and way over priced. Maybe they get away with it because of the nice decor/atmosphere. I feel like I have to try a little harder to look good when I go there, makes me uncomfortable the way the female staff dress. I'm not sure why they dress like that since it's just a restaurant and women eat there too. Other's I've taked to feel the same and will avoid going there with there husband/boyfriend. Other than that it's a nice restaurant.
I would not recommend Moxies Classic Grill. I find that it is over priced, the service is very slow and most of the food is average, nothing special. My one weakness is their white chocolate brownie with ice cream - it is amazing!!! I also do not appreciate the way the waitresses are dressed - completely overexposed! Maybe it is a company initiative for tips, but I find it degrading!
I went here for my holiday party at work, I haven't been to a moxies in probably 7 -8 years, but I remember having a great meal before and my most recent trip I had an amazing steak as well. The service was quite slow though and it was very loud (it was a Friday night) seemed more like a lounge than sit in dining though. I had a beer which was not great and a rye and ginger, Moxie-sized, which I hardly tasted, tasted like warm ginger ale, let alone a two shot drink. but the food was great, steak was awesome, the potatoes and sides were great and the mushrooms were delicious. it was a 24 dollar meal not including extra mushrooms, if it wasn't paid for by my work I would not have picked an expensive meal. I don't know why they think that girls wearing short skirts and tank tops in winter is appealing because I would freeze my but off if I worked there. It's not a men's lounge so I don't get the staff attire. it is disrespectful to women and I would like to see clothed people when I eat, unless I can to a dining place and go in a tank top and mini skirt, which would be inappropriate.
I really like the look of all Moxies locations now, trendy and fancy, especially the bathrooms. But I've been here many, many times, and I really don't enjoy the food at all. I usually go for pasta dishes at a restaurant, and theirs are uninspired and pretty bland. had the burger once too and it was dry and once again, bland and flavourless. not a fan of the drinks either!
