Fun and nostalgic

I received the Bitzee Doghouse free from Spin Master in collaboration with Butterly in exchange for my honest review. The setup was super easy and the concept is really cute — it definitely gave me nostalgic Tamagotchi vibes. The digital dog is adorable and the lit, clickable screen makes it feel interactive and fun at first. That said, my six-year-old struggled a bit with navigating the different settings and lost interest fairly quickly. Unlocking additional pets felt a little time-consuming, and while the mini games are a nice touch, it ended up being more of a “play for five minutes and put down” toy in our house. I think it would likely be better suited for kids closer to 8+ who have a bit more patience for the features.

It’s definitely cute

The quality of the toys is actually really good. It’s really built strong so if it drops it won’t break. My son was excited to play with it. He enjoyed playing with it for a few hours, but by the next day, he didn’t seem to care too much about it. But me I enjoy playing it. It reminded me of a toy I used to grow up playing. Definitely makes me more interested in additional toys that spin master has, I enjoy seeing what other products they have for kids that are growing

Fun for older kids!

My 4.5 year old daughter opened this toy this morning and has yet to put it down by dinner time! What I love most about this product is that more can be purchased, or if friends have others, the dogs can apparently play together. I think my daughter is too young for all of the awesome, FUN features (you can feed your dog!) but she is still having a great time with the basic functions. The magic is in the doghouse itself - it is sturdy, yet light and small enough to fit in the palms of her hands. Unfortunately, we are having a lot of trouble getting this out of "try me" mode. It would be nice to see this made easier for future, similar products. I also think it's a little bit too loud for regular, daily play (especially around others) so would not recommend it if your child has any sensory challenges. Truly, as a Mom, I'm so fascinated by this that I will probably play with it tonight when my daughter goes to sleep - ha, ha (for real!). Thank you to Spin Master for a great toy!
