My New Favourite Sunscreen!

I am so happy that I got to try this Blue Lizard Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50! I have very fair and sensitive skin. So, sunscreen or spf products are a must for me all throughout the year.

There are so many things that I love about this product. The spf 50 in the sunscreen is appreciated. I try not to go less than spf 40. The texture of the product is thinner than I thought. It rubs in like a lotion and is incredibly hydrating. I also found that it made my skin look and feel better. Because it's so hydrating, my skin felt so smooth after I applied it. The white product helped even out some of the redness that I have. As a bonus, the sunscreen leaves a shimmery effect on the skin when standing in the sunlight. I really loved this!

I also really love that this is a good for the Earth and good for you product. It's something that I can be confident in and be proud to put my money towards. The product is effective, it makes the skin feel better, it's natural and cruelty free. I would happily recommend this product to anyone and would purchase it for future use.

Sensitive skin approved

Yes yes yes! Ive been searching for a sunscreen with a formula sensitive enough for my toddler and strong enough for my face. This is 100% our new go to sunscreen, the colour changing cap is a great feature which reminds me to re-apply, the consistency is thin enough to spread and thick enough its not to runny. Sun defence is on par with other “stronger” chemical sunscreens Ive used, unscented which is important and this brand is earth conscious which I love.

Okay physical sunscreen

his sunscreen provides solid sun protection, especially for sensitive skin. However, its has a thick consistency and tends to leave a white cast on darker skin tones, making it unsuitable for everyone. Despite these drawbacks, its high SPF rating and waterproof qualities makes it a reliable option for daily use. I prefer to use this sunscreen on my body when exposed to the sun for prolonged periods as opposed to on the face daily.

Skin friendly and earth friendly

This sunscreen is perfect for anyone heading to the beach or just out running errands with its high SPF and resistance to water or sweat for up to 80 minutes. It is mineral based, which makes it less likely to irritate sensitive skin and forms a physical barrier between your skin and the sun. It doesn't contain oxybenzone or octinoxate, two ingredients thought to contribute to coral reef bleaching and death. I found it to be more fluid than other mineral based sunscreens I've tried, so it was much easier to spread. It works well with my moisturizer and is great even under makeup.

Perfect UV protection

Spf 50 and 80 minutes of under water protection. Wow. This is a must especially during our beach and play time this summer. The sun is up for more than 12 hours so we need to protect our skin from harmful UV. It is non sticky and its also for those with sensitive skin. It is water resistant too.

Strong SPF

This has an amazing texture and sinks into the skin very well. I use this mostly on my neck, shoulders and chest area as it a strong SPF and those areas get a lot of sun. It does have a bit of an odd scent although it does go away after a bit. It’s also reef safe so I feel like I’m not only protecting myself but also the ocean too!

Smells great !!

I love anything that will protect me from the harmful rays of the sun. My skin is sensitive at times and this 50 SPF is made for my skin type. It's water resistant and lasts a long time while doing my activities throughout the day. Love this product!!
Just rub it in, and it absorbs nicely!

Finally, a mineral formula without a white cast!

Mineral sunscreens have come a really long way over the years with recent formulas showing a lot of improvement and innovation. I had been hearing about Blue Lizard for a while, but was constantly wary of trying yet another mineral formula. I regret waiting so long, as this was unlikely any other mineral sunscreen I had tried in recent years. Not only did it absorb quickly into my skin, it didn't leave behind any greasy or tacky texture and the white cast I had come to dread was nowhere to be found. It looked a bit shiny when I first applied it to my face, but that dissipated pretty quickly and if anything, my skin just looked a little "pinker" than usual. It also held up really well when exposed to water and sweat, so I have no concerns using this under the strongest rays even when at the ocean. Speaking of which, this is a reef-safe formula and small enough to bring along in your carry-on luggage, making it a must-pack for any beach trips.

Great sunscreen for sensitive skin

It is a great sunscreen for sensitive skin. It is not oily and sticky. It feels lightweight. I do think the packaging can be better though. It leaks a lot of product out without squeezing.
