Blends like butter

I have been using this blue lizard sunscreen for past few days. So this is mineral sunscreen so it does have little white cast when you first start applying it but it absorbs in seconds. And it is not oily or greasy at all so one can use it without any issues like that. It also has aloe which is soothing for skin and it is sensitive skin friendly so every one can use it.

Works amazing for my sensitive skin

I have super sensitive, reactive skin and finding a sunscreen that doesn’t sting, clog my pores, or leave me looking ghostly is... a journey. This one honestly checks all my boxes. It’s mineral-based, no fragrance, and somehow still gives me a subtle glow without feeling greasy. Wears really well under makeup too. No breakouts, no weird texture, just solid protection that feels lightweight. I’ll definitely keep this in my routine.

Not only did I (adult) love the product, so did the youngin’s! It was easy to apply this sunscreen, not oily, sticky or a word consistency. No burns, moisturizer skin!

Decent

This was decent to apply and wasn't over powering or sticky. It wasn't very thick which I definitely appreciated. I think it did what it was supposed to just not sure if I would keep buying.

I have always struggled to find a sunscreen I like. Not just because my skin is very pale and slightly sensitive but because I hate the feel of thick gross products on my skin. So, sadly, I almost never wear sunscreen. I’ve made it my mission to find something more natural that feels nice so I can take better care of my skin and all my tattoos! When I had the opportunity to try Blue Lizard Sensitive 50 #gotitfree I jumped!! (Sadly it came in the mail while I was evacuated from my house due to fires 😩).

Mineral Sunscreen that works

I recently tried out the Blue Lizard 50 SPF sensitive sunscreen as it was gifted to me.

The texture is quite thick, so a little bit goes a long way here. I personally found it a bit too thick, and was concerned about white cast. It required a bit more rubbing in, but surprisingly didn’t leave a cast and was not oily. The thickness of the cream still throws me off, but the end result makes up for it.

It’s unscented which is great, so would be good for those that are scent sensitive.

I wore it outside for hours and it worked super well to avoid a burn.

It was good

I gave this sunscreen a try and overall, it does its job in terms of sun protection and the texture feels lightweight. But as someone with darker skin, I did notice a pretty noticeable white cast. It took a lot of blending to get it to look somewhat natural, and even then, there was still a slight grayish tone left on my face. I think it could work better for lighter skin tones, but for deeper complexions, it’s not the most user-friendly option. Hoping they improve the formula to be more inclusive!

Perfect for summer!

As someone who wears sunscreen rain or shine, 365 days a year, I was stoked to be chosen to try this out. I've heard of blue lizard sunscreens and it's rave reviews, so I was looking forward to trying it out myself. I usually use mineral sunscreens only when I'll be outdoors for an extended period of time and use chemical sunscreens otherwise daily. I knew there would be a white cast, but I was surprised at how quickly it sank into the skin and blended in. When I first tried it out, I applied it to one side of my face and as soon as I blended it in, I was surprised again at how soft it made my skin on that side feel, it felt hydrated and plump to touch. That was a first for me, and while the product makes no such claim, that was my honest experience. I'm looking forward to trying it for a longer, hot day outside to see how it lasts, will be testing it at the park this Canada day! I would definitely recommend, based on my few uses so far.
