Love how light the Bumbo is. Sits on top of my kitchen shelf out of the way. Easy to bring to friends houses so baby can be part of the action. Only concern is that baby can slip out when they straighten their bodies. My friends baby slipped out and fell to the floor! I like to use ours when I am cooking so baby can be with me and entertained, but I do not let him out of arms reach just in case.

I too thought it looked a bit strange but hey, if it works, great! My daughter sat in it for a short period of time before she figured out how to wiggle herself out. It frustrated me more than helping so it didn't last long in my house,
Not worth the $50 I paid on sale.

We purchased the Bumbo baby seat in blue for our (at the time) 2 month old baby boy. We had seen alot of them all over the net and thought it looked like a great seat for our little guy to help him sit up. We purchased this seat and the matching tray for just under $100.00 for the set (in Canada). We figured it had better be really great for that price, as there are alot of baby seats out there for alot less than that. We were wrong.

I know the seat is meant to be a snug fit so that it supports the baby sitting up in it. But I don't think you should have to cram the baby's chubby little baby legs into it. At 2 1/2 months old, our little guy barely fit in it. He isn't an overly chubby baby, but by 3 1/2 months old, and prior to him being able to sit up by himself, we could not get him into it comfortably. He is not comfortable in it at all and at 5 months we bought a seat for $39 that was much more comfy for him and he loves.

I feel the Bumbo was a waste of money. For $100 I would hope he could use the seat for longer than 1 month. I wouldn't recommend this seat unless you have a really tiny baby.
