    Big hair - french style

    HELLO pretty ladies!

Let me start by saying this: I’m NOT a hair expert. To be honest, I don’t style my hair much, and I even usually just let it air-dry. Laziness? Laisser-aller? Boho, natural side of me peeking? You tell me. However, since I don’t style it much, I like to have a shampoo and conditioner that is good for my hair and leaves it looking somewhat okay for me to rock the natural way. When I was contacted to try Christophe Robin’s products, I flipped. Such an high-end hair care brand, created by a celebrity hair colorist and with different ranges for a multitude of hair concerns could only give me good results. As I was browsing through the different ranges, my choice was made clear really quickly: the delicate volumizing Shampoo and Conditioner would hopefully allow my limpy, skimpy hair to get a volume boost, from roots to ends.

See these beauties? When they arrived, the sleek chic packaging with a hint of millennial pink just blew me away. And the smell? Like a beautiful bouquet of fresh cut roses from the garden. These are just beautiful to use in the shower. Before I could really try the formula and see results, I was already into the amazing scented experience that was created in my shower. With the hot steam, it filled my whole bathroom with a gorgeous extra girly rose smell.

I (obviously) first tried the shampoo. Now listen carefully. At first, I wasn’t sold. The shampoo gave my hair the really “squeaky-clean” feeling. Being used to rather softer or more moisturizing formulas, I wasn’t first pleased. I felt like my hair was just too tangled and dried-up for my liking. However, I kept on with the experiment and I applied the conditioner overtop. And then it happened: my hair was re-moisturized and it felt soft. I could run my fingers through it all, without knots or pulling. Fast forward a little, I let my hair air-dry casually and the feeling and look was just completely different from the usual: my hair looked more voluminous and full, and I could see the little curled hair ringlets that appear when I use a lightweight formula or something that adds volume.

I tried the combo a lot of different ways during the week-and-a-half period I was using them. Just air-dried, my hair was big, bouncy and curled. Blown out with the hair drier, it was almost too poofy. My favorite way, as you’ll see how I styled it in the video, was to leave it air-dry and then to place it with my round heating brush. My roots were really lifted and my lengths and ends seemed like they had a lot of fullness and density.

I really loved the results but I must say, I’ll probably keep these two for special occasions. It was just too much of an adjustment to do it daily but whenever I wanna go BIG, There are the ones I’ll be using.

    Rose-scented kisses,
