Quality & Great Price

As a seasoned DIY’er I have come to only buy and use Dap products. Time and time again Dap products have proven to be of great quality and the brand I trust. I speak from experience having tried other brands which have cracked, peeled, turned yellow etc. I live in a colder climate where temperatures can range from 34°C to -40°C so expansion contraction is prevalent, the quality of a product is important . I was fortunate to receive a free sample of Dap’s Alex Plus All Purpose Acrylic Latex Caulk Plus Silicone. It could not have come at a better time as I had to re-caulk the trim around my home which had previously been caulked with Lepage. I recommend cutting the tip at angle for ease. The product glided on perfectly. I used a soapy finger to smooth out where necessary. There was barely anything to clean but always keep shot towels around just incase :) I also would like to add that the plastic tube helps the shelf life of the product and you can easily reseal the product with a cap and mark the date with some painters tape. Remember not to store in cold areas, I learned that the hard way. If you’re a beginner or even not I would highly recommend Dap Caulking Tool kit ( which helps smoothing it out with ease and comes with caps as well) It’s been over a month and no signs of cracking, discolouration or peeling. I am very happy with this product and for the price, ease of use and quality you cannot go wrong! I highly recommend.

Dap is easy to DIY

I was gifted DAP caulk to trial and was very pleased it is easy to use and stops those pesky air leaks! I received the product for free. The price of it is so minimal and it’s such a great way to seal up those cracks you could hear the money flying out the window before and now it feels nice and warm! A very easy to use product widely available simply to use simple to clean up after too :) I am repurposing some doors with trim and will be using DAP to fill the gaps, having an easy and paintable caulk tool is wonderful!!! Thanks for the trial!

Works smoothly and blends in after painted!

I have used other DAP products in the past, this was the first time using the DAP Alex Plus All Purpose Acrylic Latex Caulk Plus Silicone. Honestly, this made caulking around my baseboards an absolute breeze! I needed to get the caulking gun (as I previously only used the squeeze tubes) but this was the simplest job I have ever completed.
After going around each room, I waited about 45minutes (suggested wait time is 30min) and then was able to paint the baseboards without having any cracks showing beside my walls! I've been wanting to do this for years, and I'm glad I had the Alex Plus All Purpose Acrylic Latex Caulk Plus Silicone gifted to me by @dapcanada and @butterly, so I could finally get the job done quickly and easily!
