DAP Alex Plus All Purpose Acrylic Latex Caulk Plus

My husband does most all repairs and maintenance at our house. We had a few small cracks to seal around our bathroom window. This caulk went on smoothly and dried pretty quickly. The silicone-infused formula made it a bit more flexible than regular caulk. It was simple to use and work with as well as cleaned up easily with water.

Great for trim

I received this product for free I exchange for a review. I used this product to repair some cracks in my window trim and baseboards. It worked great and looks even better!

So satisfying

Thank to Butterly and DAP I got to try this caulk for some touch-ups around the house. I cut up a small tip and sealed up any trims and baseboards. The caulking made it look complete and beautiful. The colour is a nice crisp white. The scent was not an issue and clean-up was easy too.

Great product

I got to try the new DAP Alex Plus Caulk & Drydex Spackling Kit through butterly. To be honest it performed better than I thought. It was so easy to use. My husband used it in our shower door. Love that it was waterproof and it tries quitd fast as well. I would definetly recommend it.

Very smooth and easy to apply

I’m so glad we were selected to try this product for free because our house is getting older and the sinks were getting to the stage where the old caulk was wearing out. Well this product is very easy to use, it comes out nice and smoothly and was easy to control as you apply it. It also wiped up easily anywhere we got too much or smudged it when smoothing the product. I would definitely use this product !

Worked great on our campus nicks and bumps

I got to try DAP for free and I was so excited for the opportunity! Working on a college campus with dark “statement” walls means that the students accidentally end up damaging the corners, the walls behind the doors, that kind of thing - as a normal part of wear and tear! Before we apply touch up paint, we need to get the spots filled in and smoothed out! In very bad timing, I brake my wrist and damaged two fingers right before I could start the project! Fortunately, I have a great office mate, he took over for me. While I sat on my couch and tried to peck on my laptop with one hand, this wonderful guy went around and filled in the “nooks and crannies” as he called it, before painting the spots back. He asked me to bookmark DAP on both my Amazon and Home Depot accounts, because it worked so well! By the time I am back on campus and have both hands working, I have no doubt there will be new spots to fill, the campus is always busy, so I will finally be able to do try it out myself! Thanks, DAP, for giving me the opportunity to try this great product for free, and now be able to use it in the future for fast, easy fixes!

Easy to use

This one has a nice flow to it without being too runny. I find some are either too thick or too thin, but this was perfect. I can't comment on if it can be painted easily, but the white is a nice clean bright white. It's forgiving when pushed into cracks with a fingertip and smooths out nicely. Drying time was fine, although not fast. It maintains a little flexibility so I expect will last many years. It was used to fill cracks and gauges in a wooden bay window seat. Definitely recommended.

Used around my window

I received this caulking as part of Butterly for free. I was so excited! My ex had left the trim around my window not done for years because it was all odd sizes. I finally got the wood to do it, cut and painted it. My boyfriend came over and did the caulking and touched up the paint for me. I have been really sick so I was not able to take pictures as we went along and I failed to tell him. I was in bed sick and he came over to do it for me, I picked a better man and caulking :)

I was gifted this to review. I thought it was easy to use and used and I did not have any issues when using it. I used it for the trim of my windows and it dried well and did not crack. I would use this again for other parts of my home.
