Alex Plus All Purpose Acrylic Latex Caulk Plus Silicone for a few home improvement projects, and I have to say, it exceeded my expectations in terms of performance and ease of use.

Easy to use easy to clean

I was asked to try and review Dap Alex Plus Acrylic latex caulk for free in exchange for my honest review. First, this was MY first time using any type of caulking on my own, and I thought I'd be able to take a video and pictures easily while I did this...😆Not! it was pretty easy to do. I just didn't anticipate that it would start coming out of the tube as soon as I cut it open. Maybe I had too much pressure on the caulking gun? I'm no expert, that's for sure. Anyways, I quickly managed to fill some gaps around windows inside and then quickly managed to clean up the messiest parts where I put too much on the gaps. It was very easy to apply in even small amounts for the small gap under the windows, and I tidied it up with a wipe of my finger. Then, on to the next window. Overall, I'm impressed how easy this was to do.
Now I have an issue, and it requires me to research what to do with the empty tube. It is plastic and I don't think it's recyclable. There are no symbols on the tube, and i don't see any other instructions in the details, I don't like not knowing what to do. I'm guessing this will have to go to the hazardous waste day as it does have ingredients I think fall into those categories. I've searched the website and can't find an answer. A message is sent to the Chat on the website and hopefully I get an answer soon.
Overall, easy to use, easy to clean up. A nice look when I applied it, I hope it doesn't get yellow and aged looking, but it is paintable so that will be a bonus.
Thanks @butterly and @dap for this opportunity to try another product in the Dap lineup. The gaps look much better, and I'm sure the little bit more sealant will help keep more heat inside this winter.

DAP Acrylic Latex Caulk Plus Silicone

DAP Acrylic Latex Caulk Plus Silicone in White was a no brainer to go with for my needs. You can use it on window and door frames. I personally used it in my bathroom. It can be painted in 30 minutes, has excellent flexibility, waterproof seal, easy water clean up, low odour, and can be used interior and exterior.

I opted to use it for my bathroom shower, and re-doing my windows and doors for the colder fall and upcoming winter season. It worked perfectly. The fumes were not overwhelming or nauseating. The smell actually dissipated quite quickly after applying. Being an amateur DIYer, it was easy to apply with a caulking gun and was so easy to clean up for the spots I may have overdone it.

DAP has always been my go-to brand for anything and everything that needs some sealant/caulking. Its a brand I trust and would continue to purchase.

I used it in various areas, including baseboards, window frames, door trims, and even in my bathroom around the sink and tub. For a general-purpose caulk, it does a great job adapting to different surfaces, including wood, drywall, tile, and glass, without any issues.

First off, the application was a lot smoother than I expected. This caulk has a thick but smooth consistency that’s just right for control—it’s not too runny, so it doesn’t drip and make a mess, but it's also not so thick that it’s tough to work with. I was able to get a clean bead with minimal effort, and I appreciated that it doesn’t dry out in the nozzle while working. It’s also relatively beginner-friendly, which makes it a solid choice for DIYers or anyone who may not have professional caulking experience.

Another highlight is the product's drying time. It’s not an instant set, but it’s fast enough that you’re not left waiting all day for it to cure, yet it still gives you enough time to make adjustments if necessary. Durable

I received the Alex Plus All Purpose Acrylic Latex Caulk Plus Silicone for free, in exchange for my honest review. I love this product and definitely a great time to finish the outside windows that need a little love. The drying time was around 30 minutes so I wasn't worried about any moisture problems. We will definitely be grabbing more to finish up the rest of the "need to be done" areas

I've used DAP products before. I find they get the job done. It's a good price for what you get and I like that it dries fairly quickly. As soon as it's dry, you are able to paint it. The application is easy and straightforward. It can be used both indoor and outdoor, I've personally only used this one for indoor, but have used other DAP products for outdoor with no issues.
