Easy to use for DIY home repairs!

I received this product for free to provide my honest review. This product came at the perfect time as we just moved this summer and we have had to do quite a few repairs on our house. Our outdoor windows needed to be re-sealed with caulking so I took this as the perfect opportunity. DAP AMP Advanced Modified Polymer All Weather Window, Door and Siding Sealant was fairly easy to apply with a regular caulking gun. Nice and smooth application and easy to paint over after. However, it does come out quite sticky and does dry very fast so make sure to have paper towel and acetone to clean up your lines right away. Another option would be to use tape for nice clean lines. I made the mistake of cleaning my lines after I completed the window and regretted that as it was a bit of a sticky mess. Once I cleaned it up, it looked good. Overall, the product went on easily and the result is exactly what the product indicates. I would recommend this product.

Works great!

I received this product to review from Butterly and talk about timing! We have an older house so we tested it on one of the windows we think some cold air is coming through. It was super easy to use and dried within a day! Seems to have worked as we haven’t noticed any cool air coming through any longer. Great sealant

This sealant provides great waterproofing protection. It can be applied to damp surfaces, is fast drying, and is very flexible. I would get this sealant again in the future.

This product can save your home money!

I received this product to try out from Butterly in exchange for my honest review. We have never used a product like this before because honestly we did not know it even existed. My husband was excited to use it as for years we have been having draft issues through our windows especially in the colder weather months. He used the seal around the windows to attempt to seal the drafts. Since most of our windows are not on ground level, he used it on the inside versus on the exterior. We are not 100% sure if this was correct as there are not clear details/instructions on the product to state it can only be used indoors or outdoors, or both. It was easy to use with our chaulking gun. Came out clear so even if mistakes were made, they were not obvious to the naked eye. We are not sure if it will help us "seal" out cold drafts in our windows but we will see with time! There is a lot in this tube so we hope to use it for all types of sealing DIY projects around the house come the spring time. It’s a bit hard to use it outdoors at this time of year because it’s quite rainy, wet and snowy.

DAP AMP all weather sealant

The DAP AMP all weather sealant can be used on wet surface, is paint ready in 30 minutes, and dries clear.

There was old caulking on our windows that needed to be repaired. We stripped away the old caulking, cleaned the surface and made sure it was free of debris and applied this DAP AMP all weather sealant. The sealant worked as advertised and I am very happy with it.

Perfect for Use on Travel Trailers

I received the opportunity to try AMP Advanced Modified Polymer All Weather Window, Door and Siding Sealant 266 mL in Crystal Clear free courtesy of Butterly and DAP Canada in exchange for my honest review. I am familiar with a variety of DAP products, but have not used this specific product. I used it on the exterior of my travel trailer where applicable to ensure that it was properly weather protected. I love that this product can be applied to wet surfaces and that it is paintable in 30 minutes. The clear “colour” was perfect for my application and the fact that this product stays flexible makes it great for use on a travel trailer.

Easy to Use

This is another great product from DAP that I've use. It's a simple product to open and apply. In colder weather it take longer to dry as I didn't have a heater fan to use ( I applied this product on my exterior door). I love that its a transparent color and will work great with painting. DAP has been a go-to product for me and this is thankfully another great product.

AMP Advanced Modified Polymer All Weather

I got the chance to try the AMP Advanced Modified Polymer All Weather Window, Door and Siding Sealant in crystal clear, as a free trial. Perfect timing, as we just got a new back door, and now that it’s settled in, and the spray foam trimmed back. It’s time to seal it all up. Perfect time to test the AMP advanced polymer for windows, doors and siding.
This crystal clear polymer sets up enough to paint it in 30 minutes, and is fully cured in 24 hours. It gets pretty sticky when you use it, so I’d suggest setting up your tape lines. This polymer is quite fluid, so go slow and steady, or you might have a mess on your hands. As always, make sure your temperate is right for your polymer, or it won’t set up well. Luckily we’ve had a very mild December and I got it done before it turned cold. This polymer paints up much better than silicones I’ve used in the past, but does glob on and sets up fast. So like I said, slow and steady. If you’re less experienced, like myself, make sure you have some acetone for quick clean up, if you make a mistake.
