Easy DIY Solution with a Handy Dry-Time Indicator!

I recently had a drywall repair to tackle, and this DAP Wall Repair Patch Kit was just what I needed! It comes with everything required to repair holes up to 3 inches in diameter in drywall, plaster, or masonry. The standout feature? The DRYDEX Dry Time Indicator, which turns pink as it dries, letting you know exactly when your surface is ready for sanding and painting.

The instructions were super straightforward, making the process a breeze. I even cut the patch smaller to save some for any future repairs. My only critique is that the patch felt a bit thick, which made it challenging to blend seamlessly with the wall. A couple of holes from the patch showed through the paint, but that might be on me for over-sanding!

Overall, this kit is fantastic for anyone looking to tackle wall repairs at home. Highly recommend it!

Loving the time indicator and simple instruction

There are two doors to the laundry room, one leading to our rental unit and the other to the landlord's unit. When both doors were to be open at the same time, one can hammer into the other. Of course - we made a crack on one of the doors as we slammed the door open.

The door seems to be very similar as to a dry wall as it is hollow inside. Given the thin layer of wood still in place, I figure that I don’t need to use the tough patch for this particular case. If we cracked a bigger hole by accident in the future, I will be able to utilize it then.

I was able to tackle this DIY project all by myself using the DAP's DRYDEX repair kit. The instruction on the packaging was super clear and simple.

I cleaned the area first and applied the product on directly. The product goes on pink. As it dried, it turned to white. I really appreciate this time indicator, so I don’t need to waste time sitting around and to guess if it is ready! I sand it down that layer a bit, cleaned it again, and then reapplied for a second layer to just make sure everything are covered and stable.

Highly recommend for anyone looking to do some easy DIY project for home improvement! This kit can repair holes up to 4inch in diameter. Though I’m sure if you have a bigger tough patch, you’d be able to utilize it as well!

Loved this product. Perfect size container for little patches around the house. The product itself is fabulous. It goes on smooth and pink. It dries white. So simple and easy. The texture is really good, not gooey, not runny, its a good consistency.

Best spackle for dry wall repair

I've been a fan of this forever - and when I say forever, that's been since we moved into our current house about 5 years ago. When moving things into the house, and just day to day use, it's so easy to get walls scratched up. This is something we bought super early on when becoming a homeowner and realized what a life saver it is. We also got really good at using it just because of how much we had to patch up. Easy to use - with no need to prime and prep, but I always like to sand it off first just in case to make it a smooth surface. It applies pink and dries white, and it dries relatively quickly. Somehow our pack was a bit more on the light pink side, compared to a more obnoxious cotton candy pink. But it still worked the same, and quite well.

Convenient kit

Oh kids will be kids! Unfortunately we didn’t have a door stop behind our door and my kids opened the door and the handle slammed into the wall. That’s where @dapcanada wall patch kit came in handy. With everything in one convenient kit I could patch the wall quickly and while I was waiting for it to dry with its handy time indicating colour changing I could install a new door stop.

Exactly as advertised

My first time patching up a hole in the wall . I attempted to do it with the free Wall Repair Patch kit I received from Dap and Butterly . Besides the sandpaper it worked rather well. I really disliked the sandpaper. It needed more grit I made some errors, but it had nothing to do with the kit. Perfect for the impatient DIY fixer
