I love that this kit contains everything I need to make quick and easy repairs. I had a two inch gash in a bedroom wall where a doorknob hit it, and this kit was perfect to repair it. Knowing the spackle is dry (it turns white) and is ready for sanding is ideal. I’d highly recommend this kit for quick and easy repairs on holes under 3”.

Easy To Use

I received the Dap Drydex dry time indicator spackling kit for free in exchange for my review. I love that the kit comes with a patch, sand paper, spackle and a tool to use it. Everything you need to repair a hole in your wall. I love that the product goes on pink and drys white to you know when it’s ready to sand and paint. I found it quite easy to use and the spackle had a good consistency. I may not be that great at spackling, but with a few coats the hole will be fixed. The only con I would say is that the instructions say you need to apply spackle to the patch before applying to hole. I found this a little messy. I would prefer the patch to already have some sort of adhesive on it to stick to surface.

Easy to use, tells you when it's dry!

I received the DAP Alex Plus Caulk & Drydex Spackling Kit for free in order to try and review it. I used it on a small hole in my wall that used to have a wire coming through it. It was super easy to use the kit, including and patch and the mud. I would prefer to use a larger spreader but other than that it worked great. I like the fact that it goes on pink and dries white, so I know when it's dry and I can sand it. But for the price, I will most likely continue to use the white mud which is much cheaper.

DIY LifeSaver

Thank you for sending this free sample of DAP Wall Repair Patch Kit. I recently had the perfect reason to try this out as I had just removed an appliance which left some gaping holes in the wall. This kit is truly a lifesaver and extremely easy to use for the novice DIYer. Cracked open the DRYDex spackling and used the putty knife to fill in the hole. Went in pink and in about 2 hours it has turned white making it easy for me know it is ready to sand down and paint over. Again, highly highly recommended in every homeowner’s repair kit.

Necessity

I recieved the wall-repair patch kit for free in exchange for an honest review, and this is a necessity in every home. The DAP DryDex Dry Time Indicator Spackling is amazing. It's a 4-piece kit that comes with everything you need, including sandpaper. As someone who is impatient, I appreciate the color-changing formula. It starts out as pink and changes to white when it's set. Instead of checking if it's dry by touching it every 5 minutes, I can actually see it drying. I've used many spackle products in my life, and this one had the best consistency, which allowed for an easy application. I wish I had this sooner; but better late than never.

Easy to use

We moved into this house about a year ago that needed a few repair drywall jobs. Admittedly, this job should have been completed well before now, but with two littles running around it was easier to ignore the holes as I thought the task would take too long. Coincidentally I received a complimentary DryDex wall repair kit from DAP exactly what I needed to get the job done! The kit conveniently had everything I needed to put away the excuses and get started. The spackling was easy to apply to the holes and dried relatively fast. The sand paper included was the right grit to make a perfectly smooth wall. This job really didn’t take more than 30 min combined. I’m not really sure why I’ve procrastinated so long? If you have some unsightly dings in the wall grab yourself a DAP kit today! I’m ready to take on the painting!
