Never thought I could patch a wall on my own!

I received this product for free to test and to give my honest feedback. I didn’t have a huge piece of wall to patch, but the tiny one I had was sure easier to deal with than I thought. I love how it indicates when it’s dry with the colour change as I am very bad at knowing when items are dry. I always overthink it, so this saves me overthinking things. I love the little container it comes in and that you can resell it. Honestly will probably try to always have one on hand in case I need to patch another wall.

Great DYI wall repair kit!

I was lucky to be chosen to try out, then review this drywall repair kit for free courtesy of @Butterly and @Dap. I used my patch to fix some corner drywall in my bathroom. I siliconed around the sink and water began to pool in the corner which I did not notice right away and the wall peeled away. It looked awful and I knew I had to fix it before more water got deeper! I cut the patch to size and added it to my wall, a square to each corner side. I followed with a coating of the spackling that the kit came with. The Application went on well, very easy. Once it was dry, I sanded down the area to be smooth and now just need to paint. I have since bought a silicone sink tray that goes around the faucet, to catch the water to prevent more water damage. This was a great DYI kit for wall repair!

Easy to use

This Wall Repair Kit with DryDex Spackling from DAP has everything you need for small drywall repairs. The repair kit includes: tub of spackling; a fibre strong patch; a putty knife; sand paper; and easy to follow instructions. The fibre strong patch was easy to apply and can be cut to customize the repair. My favourite part is the DryDex Spackling. It goes on pink so you can ensure efficient application and dries white so you know when it’s time to sand. I did two coats to cover a 4 inch hole in our drywall and after paint you can’t even find the the patch. I highly recommend this kit for all levels of expertise as it is pretty foolproof. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

Quick and SO Easy to use! Being a homeowner to an old home, we are always working on some sort of project around the house, and sometimes one project leads to others you don’t have time for right away… I was so grateful to receive for free the Wall Repair Patch Kit featuring DRYDEX Dry Time Indicator Spackling which comes with all of the tools needed to complete a wall-patching project.
The kit may be used to repair holes up to 3 inches in diameter in drywall, plaster or masonry surfaces. This was perfect for our old plaster walls! DRYDEX Spackling provides a unique dry-time indicator that indicates when the patched surface is ready to be sanded and painted. Starts off pink and turns white as it’s dry!
As you can see on the wall sections filled in, this product is a homeowner-must have and a great tool for renters who need a little cover-up.

Really wanted to love it

I received this drywall repair kit for free in an exchange for a review. I have been doing house renovations for myself for 15+ years and I am a Jill of all trades. Normally to do drywall patches I use drywall tape depending on the size. For larger holes I use a piece of drywall and after seeing this kit I was super interested to try and see if it was easier. Well it wasn't. The spackle I received had a crack by the lid due to the package getting damaged so it was harder than normal, usually it's a bright pink but in this case it wasn't. I have my own DAP spackle but used the one included as I'm reviewing this particular package. The hole I was patching was a 2.5" square so this patch was perfect for the job. Since the spackle was hard my patch fell when I tried the recommended method of back buttering the patch. I decided to spackle the border of the hole and do that method after. This is a ceiling patch so I'm not too worried about the durability, I'm sure it will last. Overall if you are a DIY person or someone who is not super handy I can see how you would enjoy having a quick patch kit. If my spackle wasn't dryer than normal my review would most likely change. I love working with fresh spackle but often add water to my older stuff but did not add water to this. I have half a tub left which I will be using around my house. I love DAP spackle but I'm not a fan of this patch kit.

So easy to use!

With two boys at home who love to play hockey and a move, we found ourselves with a few holes in our walls. It was about time we took care of it, so this free product came just in time. It's so easy to use and the finish is so invisible to the naked eye that I'm going to get some new patches just in case we need them soon!

I love DAP products!

I was so happy to get this spackling kit to try for free! It came just in time as I had just taken the halloween decorations down and had pulled some of the gyprock off when I pulled off my tape. My husband wasn't super thrilled about that but I was able to quickly patch my holes with this kit! Like it never happened at all, all ready for my next decorations hahaha...thank you for letting me try it

This is truly an awesome product! The Wall Repair Patch Kit was extremely easy to use. I seldom do repairs at home as I am just not confident and often leave it up to my husband. But this kit came with all the tools and clear instructions that I was able to patch a couple of our wall holes in no time! The dry time indicator is an impressive and innovative feature.
This repair kit is a sure must-have in every home!
