Robust beer, but not much pecan

I enjoyed the robust flavour of the beer that is expected from a porter. Hints of coffee and even more subtle hints of chocolate were present (mostly in the aftertaste - initially didn't pick them out at all), but no matter how hard I tried to pick out any pecan notes were unsuccessful (even with natural pecan flavouring noted in the ingredients). I would recommend this beer for robust, strong beer & coffee fans but not for those looking for a particularly unique pecan pie-y beer.
