I have been subscribed to Facebook since 2011and there are things I love and hate about it. What I love is the fact that I can stay in touch with friends and family wherever they are in the world and although we live miles apart they can still feel close through pictures and posts. What I don't like is how Facebook is constantly doing updates and that it tends to lean more towards the younger crowd. I also think they could have better privacy settings. I also find recently I have way too many ads coming up on my homepage. I also hate that you have to download the messanger app now to read your messages. The other day my husband got an indication that he had a message so he downloaded the app and it was just telling him that his friend recently joined messanger. It was ridiculous. And now they send notification settings to messanger when it's someone's birthday. On my notifications settings it notifies me when any of my friends do the smallest thing. I preferred the way it was before when I was only notified when someone commented on a post I commented on or if it was someone's birthday. I guess I would have more to complain about Facebook if I really thought about it. I guess that's why for the past year I don't go on as much as I used to. I'm sure eventually I will just get rid of Facebook completely.

I would recommend using the facebook app, but only because using the online browser is a pain in the ass.
With the app I find if you dont have a real good phone the app lags a lot and exits, restarts, doesn't work half the time, etc. It's a horrible app and with messanger you basically need this app anyways to chat with people so not having a facebook app is pointless

I rate this as 4 Stars overall because on a personal level, I am so inundated with advertising in my news feed (not sponsored adds) that it drives me crazy. I really can't see what I really DO want to see. Albeit a free platform for individuals & businesses alike it would be nice(r) to have more control.

That being said - as a business owner, I like the opportunity to advertise and promote myself. BUT feel that I shouldn't have to take all these "courses" or learnings to figure out how to not WASTE so much money in that advertising. There seems to be elite status given to those who HIRE out someone to do their marketing instead of the small business person being able to control that and not pay for clicks that do not produce the requirement in the add.

Overall happy with it though.

I love this app, it's one of the best things on the planet, for the most part it's free, unless you want to buy extra tokens and what not for games, it's a great way to contact and keep in touch with people from your past whether it be former classmates, co-workers or even family that you don't see very much. I use this often, at least every day, I highly recommend it, it's a must have in my daily life.

This really is one social media platform you shouldn't ignore. It's like refusing to upgrade to telephones when telegraphs were dying: you can't fall behind on communication. I normally use this to coordinate meetups with my friends, but it's also great to keep into their lives when they have photos and other things to share. The biggest thing I've seen it do is connect long lost friends and family, though. Once my dad started using it he couldn't stop because of how many people he could connect to and my mother loves using it to share pictures of her cooking. It really is a great way to keep in touch with people and share moments with multiple parties at once without the hassle of postage, email, and unnecessary fees. Also, the game on it are fun. ;)

When I first started on facebook years ago, I was addicted to this one flower game. I was playing this game several times a day until you had to start spending money to get further in the game. Now I'm still on facebook, not just as much. It's great to renew old friendships and keep in touch with family that live too far away. And people need to use it for what it was invented for. Keeping in touch with people. Not putting your whole business and going after people online.

I used to love facebook, to keep in touch with my friends and family all over and to make photo albums for them to see. However i find there are too many ads now and it just isnt the same as it used to be .

I use Facebook a lot for keeping in touch with friends and family since moving abroad. The only issue I have with Facebook is that when you sign up you allow them access to all other phone apps. Such as your messages and Google searches. Ever notice that you had been looking something up or texting someone about something and the next time you are on Facebook there's and advertisement for the exact same thing?!? An example I have is a couple of days ago my husband was on his way home from work and was stopping to pick up a few groceries, he text me to see if there was anything I wanted and I asked him to pick me up a kinder Beuno, later on that evening there was an advertisment for kinder Beuno on my Facebook feed!! Coincidence i think not!! Also we have recently booked a trip to las vegas and all I'm seeing since I got the email confirmation is advertisements for vegas all over my feed!!!

Ok I use this everyday every hours LOL
Love their function and everything I can see my friends photos and news.
Just love it. And of course will keep using it

Facebook has truly changed how people conduct their day to day lives. I'm getting mixed feelings about it lately though. On one hand, it's an amazing tool for staying in touch and finding family and friends. On the other hand, I know more about them than I need or want to. I also have to mindful of comparing my life to other's when in reality, we are all faced with life's challenges. Overall, I think it's a fantastic resource.
