I bought this camera because I wanted a waterproof camera that can withstand the sand and ocean (for our recent tropical vacation). I used to buy the cheap waterproof camera's but the quality was terrible. This camera was not rated as the best but for the price of $199 on sale, it was good enough for me. My husband and I took some awesome pictures underwater and on the beach! The camera doesn't come with an external battery charger or SD cards so I had to spend more money on a charger, extra battery and SD cards. The Fuji Guys on Youtube were very good at explaining step by step on how to use the camera using its features. A great tool! It comes with some free cloud memory to load the pictures through a Fuji app and wifi. You get an account with Fuji which gives you access to some other cool features. Their customer service is good as well. I had a hard time finding a place that sold Fuji batteries and I sent an email request for info and they contacted me within 2 days. Downloading the pictures onto my computer took a few minutes longer than I expected but unlike my Canon camera, it downloaded only the newest pictures that were not already downloaded.
It takes a bit of time to get used to the features and how to get the best pictures using the settings but well worth the time. The shock-proof feature of this camera was an added and unexpected bonus. It won't break easily and it will remind you to double check the seal for possible water leaks into the battery compartment. Best thing to do is to dry the compartment every time you submerge it in water just in case. Mine never had water in it and sand never got into the chamber.
    Love this camera!
