Great Tasting
First off, I can honestly say that these muffins were pretty darn good. They sort of taste like bran muffins, except they have blueberries and cranberries in them (fresh) fruit used in them. This is totally okay with me, as fresh is always better! They're not dry tasting either, they are moist enough as if they were just baked that day. At 280 calories per muffin, this is a reasonable amount, that is, if you're not watching/counting your calories. Can I see myself eating these as a snack, for breakfast, etc., yes, totally. Price wise, for only 4 muffins, it seems a little steep. Other than that, I'd most likely recommend these, and I would probably buy them in the future. I do also like that they are individually wrapped. #gotitfree #LoveGoodandSimple @ChickAdvisor
finally found the product in Metro, yet some were expired
got 4 small muffins in a box that carried a price tag of 4.99
very tasty however I will purchase at the local bakery for the same price but more for my money
Priced to sell?
We've all had the occasional treat where the taste and value surprised us, but this was not one of those treats. First thing I noticed is that it is plastic sealed. Not a fan of it and I'm sure it does speak of qualify/freshness when you plastic seal a product. To me, first impression is always important. After taking the muffin out the plastic wrap, the next thing I noticed was the size. It was not very big... that would explain the lower calorie count. My first bite of the muffin confirm that I was correct that the muffin was flaky and not moist. The tea that I had with it helped me finish it off.
I would not recommend this to anyone really. For the amount of $4.50, I could get 6 muffin from my local bakery versus 4 of these plastic wrapped muffin. I'm sure there is a lot of fiber and fruity goodness. But I like to taste my muffins fresh... I mean, who doesn't?
I could have past them off as my own
I don't usually shop at metro but I made a special trip and I'm glad I did. They were fast fresh and covenant and my kids loved them. I will be buying these again
Simply delicious!
I loved it! I got the blueberry oatmeal. It could have used more blueberries for flavour but it was a healthy snack. I would recommend this product to my friends! I wonder how it would taste warmed up... mmm.
Natural and fresh
4 individually wrapped muffins for $4.99 was a little much for me to swallow, but thetbstaid fresh for over a week because of the packaging. They taste I retesting at first but by the second one you'll be in love. The hubby likes to microwave them for 10 seconds and have them nice and warm. I'm a big fan of all the ingredients in them, nothing crazy or outrageous. Just tasty muffins. I got these complementary to review from chick advisor
Great Breakfast addition
After trying good and simple fruit n fibre muffins i feel like finally there is a little something that everyone can enjoy without feeling guilty....they tast great and are quite fulfilling price is also the typical bakery muffin price and they taste wonderful i love the fact that they come in different flavours and i can get something different rather than stick with one taste my 9 year did not quite fancy them but 13 year old loved them im going to add this to my grocery list
Tasty bars
These bars are great in lunches or when you are on the go. I enjoyed the taste, and the texture. The ingredients are simple and they are quite healthy. Will be looking at purchasing other flavours as well.
Received this complimentary to test out from ChickAdvisor and Good &Simple;. Thanks!
Great healthy snack
Was very excited to get the opportunity to try these Good & Simple Fruit + Fibre Muffins courtesy of ChickAdvisor. I picked them up at Metro. Like the individual packaging as they are easy to grab and go. They are very fresh for a packaged product and feel like a homebaked muffin. The taste was okay on these. Very bran heavy in flavour and not so much fruit. I would have liked to taste more of the blueberry and cranberry in these. However overall they make a good snack and its great that they are made with natural ingredients.
Good muffins but expensive
We got coupons for these muffins from Product Review Club. We purchased our box from Metro. My first impression was that the package was nice and they are easy to spot at the bakery section. I could tell right away that these muffins are loaded with fibre and I know they are relatively fresh since the expiry date was not far off. However, at $4.99 for 4 medium sized muffin, I found it expensive and I don't think I will buy them again without coupons/discounts.
As for the taste, I enlisted my kids to help with the review, ages 8, 6 and 3. My kids thought the wrapper was hard to open and they didn't like it; however, I disagree. I thought the wrapper was easy to open because it was pretty thin. What I didn't like about the wrap was that it was plastic and it is not environmentally friendly. But it did make breakfast on-the-go to be easier.
We all enjoyed the berries in the muffin, so much so that the kids didn't even noticed the muffin was loaded with fibre. Normally, they don't like high fibre baked goods because of the rough texture but they gobbled down these muffins like they were the best thing on the planet. For me, I liked the fruit and fibre combination and I like the chew texture but I do find the muffins a little too sweet.
Overall, these are great on-the-go snacks because they are handy, kids like them and they are tastey. But $4.99/box + tax is a little too pricey for my budget.
